Your Guide to Online Ordering: Ninjini [CLOSED]

The goal of this thread is to communicate when Ninjini shows up with online retailers. Why pay a scalper $50? I am using a program that tediously searches all of the online retailers every minute and scans the page to see if she's in stock. If she is, I'll get alerted...and I will post it below with the date/time and link to order. It's as easy as that!

That didn't last long. I clicked and it said other sellers starting at $69.99.

What are you using to alert you to items and availability? Will you share please?

Yes that was quick. It lasted about 10 minutes before stock was gone. I'm using a program that scans pages for changes; in this case it's polling the web site every minute looking for 14.99. When it sees a match it alerts me on the computer and sends me an e-mail.

I'll post back here (look at first post) when it's back in stock and post in thread so it gets bumped; I'm also searching Gamestop and TRU.

Hmm hopefully I didn't celebrate too soon. Didn't have issues with checkout and the order shows as open but no confirmation email yet and usually that's instant.

Yeah usually within seconds of ordering off amazon I get an email confirming the order. Nothing yet for Ninjini but hopefully it's just because they're sorting through a lot of orders at once and not because it's gonna get cancelled on me. Fingers crossed.

Update: Got my email, the order went through and she'll be here soon. Thanks again for the heads up!

I would recommend developing your own process. As you've noticed, there are several limitations and there is much to be improved upon. The site is best suited for casual shoppers, as opposed to those who want to be first out of the blocks. Furthermore, if you know anything about 'Affiliate Links', you can parlay your skills into your own 'In-stock' reporting website, as these sites like wiialerts.com earn a commission for each successfully completed purchase that resulted from a 'clickthru' from their links.

Yeah, I pretty much went on the cheap, as although I could actually develop something sophisticated I value my time much more---just trying to do something to help the folks here get something. If I end up getting good at this, I'll automate more of this in the future (perhaps for Swap Force).

FYI if someone is using a third party service to alert them and getting the alerts I'm giving you...please let me know. Wiialerts doesn't seem to be sending me alerts so far...perhaps it actually has to stay in stock for more than 5 minutes lol.

If you add ninjini to your wishlist on Gamestop.com she is currently able to be purchased. 10:30 PM CST on Friday. Same with S2 Wrecking Ball and S2 Spyro.

We must be hitting different servers...but it's not available. Except for 8pm tonight where we had a luxurious 10 minutes to order these spurts are literally in 5 minute waves. Next time I won't report it unless I can add it to the cart.
