Hmm, wonder what store it will be exclusive to here in the US?

If - and I mean if - Jade Flashwing is any indication, maybe Polar Whirlwind will be out with wave 4 stuff as well. Now to find out what store here. Here's hoping it's Gamestop, so I can just reserve them and be done with it.

I hope the remaining two ingame variants are exclusive to Gamestop and Best Buy.

Someone message that dude with S2 Spyro im dying to know where he got it from and what state dont even gotta tell me the city! Hes got multiple Ninjinis too sooo maybe he found a lucky store that got w4 early.

It possibly could have been from a TRU that got more in today. I am almost willing to bet that the Ninjini's came from TRU. Not sure about the Spyro.

No word yet on where she will be in the US. My bet is on Gamestop. They are usually really good at letting us now early.

Don't discount Amazon on this. Gold Flameslinger went pretty well for them.

Was Gold Flamey in the strategy guide? I know polar whirlwind is. I would look myself but the book is at my nephews.

Doubt they would release a named variant through an online only retailer, gold flameslinger was different, because it never showed up as gold in game and was didn't even say gold on the package.

no store in Sweden has her yet so that's very strange. For marketing purposes, Norway, sweden, Finland, Iceland & Denmark are generally considered one region. if something is available in Norway, we can get it here. Usually.

To me, it's more doubtful than GameStop, but infinitely more likely than Best Buy getting an exclusive at this point. History is at least on Amazon's side over Best Buy, which hasn't had a single exclusive since the Volcanic Vault, and has never had an actual exclusive figure for either game. Amazon has at least had one figure.

I personally wrote to 2011cronis, the one in Norway who put Polar Whirlwind on eBay. I asked him how he got it & this is his reply:

"i do not know if it's store exclusive, but i got it from a supermarket called Obs! (doesnt have a webstore) here in Norway who never get stuff like this, so i dont know how they got their hands on it."

I'm assuming that someone in Norway somehow mysteriously got Polar Whirlwind & put it up for sale in a supermarket called Obs without knowing how valuable it is. Then a scalper saw it, bought it, & put it up on eBay...

This is only an assumption, so can someone please find out how this event occurred, especially on how Polar Whirlwind was acquired before the scalper got it?

Obs is part of a chain here, although there haven't been any Obs in Stockholm in a long time (we have a sister store called Coop). Obs is a Walmart-ish type grocery store, in that they have food plus other big box retailer type stuff. I can see them having Skylanders in a toy section but certainly not any exclusive deals. Seems very weird

unlikely. all the named variants have been store or starter set exclusives.

Interesting. Polar WhirlWind is labeled as Series 2 and says she works in S:SA.

Yup. Just tired it and figured it out. I had assumed he didn't work in the game. Interesting - this goes to show how some of the individual figure settings can be set up.

I got my reply from knutsolb, the 2nd eBay scalper from Norway. This is what he wrote me:

"I bought it yesterday at a large supermarket. They probably had 20 of them. The toy stores like toysrus did not have it."

It's similar to the 1st scalper. I wish I was there to get 2 of them. Still, we need info on how to get one in the US...

Apparently it's Scarlet Ninjini that will be the Amazon exclusive, so that more or less narrows down Polar Whirlwind to GameStop. Best Buy is very unlikely, but still vaguely possible. So is TRU I guess.

Hope we don't have to play the same phantom order game we did with golden S2 Flameslinger.

I'm just glad we won't be dealing with any more console bundles for the remaining variants. With Polar Whirlwind in packages already and Scarlet Ninjini locked up by Amazon, I'd say we're in the clear on overpriced pack-ins.

Really odd that she has only been found in Norway so far! I hope she makes her way to the US very soon.

Eastern Europe has been the launching spot for like four figures in the last month. Jade Flashwing, Spyro, Wrecking Ball, and now Polar Whirlwind. Isn't that crazy? It just goes to show that all bets are off with Skylanders.

Keep in mind that this isn't some bizarre European grocery store, but the worldwide leader in online sales, and primarily based in the USA. I would say that March 15th is the latest we can expect a stateside release given who the seller is.

But amazon did sell some of the legendarys exclusively in some parts of the world, but they where toysrus exclusives in the usa, so only time will tell.

Well, if Polar showed up in a supermarket overseas, what if - and I mean what if - Polar isn't exclusive at all, but rather, a figure in a future assortment?

Even if not, it seems more than likely that she will be an exclusive here somewhere.

Amazon is easy to order from so good news about Scarlet Ninjini. Remember they limited their FS to only 1 when ordering, so I wouldn't try an order too many when it first comes out.

She actually looks better than I expected. I expected just a white Whirlwind but she's sorta metallic.

I feel tempted to preorder Scarlet Ninjini from Amazon's Denmark site. Should I do it or should I wait until it is shown on Amazon's USA site, which we don't know if it will or not?

Obs isn't a "bizarre European grocery store" They are along the lines of a Walmart or Target, so it's a good bet that it's an exclusive to them in that region.
