I just bought a bunch of SSA figures from the local version of Craig's List. I got a great deal, but unfortunately, the guy no longer had the cards that come with the figures. Is there any way to get those? is there a secondary market for them or does everyone take great care to keep them with their toys?

You can try Ebay. Some people sell the cards by them selves.

Well, I'm sure everyone's a little different, but personally, I take great care to keep them safe as part of my collection... they are all in protective sleeves, then inserted into trading card pages which I keep in a binder... the stickers I put in different (thinner) protective sleeves and keep in a black trading card box. I just started separating the Giants stickers into a second card box though because the first one was getting kinda bulgy... lol

I have mine in a binder also. With the skylander trading cards. I foolishly threw some of the web codes away after I had used them.

^ Oh no!!! I've never done anything with the online game... can you recover your codes inside your online account (at least then you could write them down)?? I keep the online codes for SSA in the sticker sheet's protector since SSA had a diff lil tag for those codes... just in case I'd use them someday!! lol

I can still use the figures on-line. You don't need the codes as you can hook up a portal to your PC if you want. I don't play online, it is kinda boring.

DragonsDream, If you've got any of the figures mentioned in my signature to spare, we could work out a deal for some of the cards you are missing!

I'm fairly new so I'm not certain of what all the icons are. Also, note that I'm in Stockholm, Sweden, so while I am not adverse to trading, shipping can become prohibitively expensive. (although with Granite Crushers just now showing up here, I'm contemplating becoming a broker for Americans who missed out)

I put each card, sticker, and webcode into a "penny sleeve" upside down, then insert it into a hard plastic "top loader". After that I put a piece of clear tape on the top of the opening, and "bamb" now you have a safe almost indestructible card protected in plastic. My three year old plays with them all day. He likes to organize them into element plies. Sometimes he spreads them out on the floor and matches each figure to the card.

I think Ebay is the easiest way to get more cards. I've never had to buy any though, I keep all my cards in an index card box. It may not display them like a binder, but it keeps the dust off.

Hah, I'm still trying to hunt down Ghost Roaster's myself. Lost him when I didn't think I'd be collecting these...and then it turned out I was going to. x_X
Btw anyone else mildly annoyed that of all the items, the Volcanic Vault has *no* card for it? |

Most of the time I find that Craiglist Skylanders listings don't include the cards. It varies by the seller of course, but most often the Craigslist listings are a parent posting it for her/his child that "is already bored" with the huge lot of Skylanders that "Santa" brought for Christmas. Those type of kids don't generally care about the cards (or the characters), so the cards are usually lost, damaged, or even thrown away by the child. You can find some listings on Ebay for just the cards. Not nearly as many listings as the figures, but they're on there.

I was lucky when I bought 9 of my S1 guys used the kid had the cards in good shape. I also keep mine in a trading card binder. Its a great way to look at them, and to keep them from getting lost and ruined.
