Would make sense since the only thing to care about now are the variants. Ninjini will come at some point but the variants are what stores want to keep up sales of what they already have. Since Walmart got one its a pretty safe bet target paid for one. I'd've suspected scarlet since target loves red but that might've been too obvious.

Maybe Wal-Mart & Target have a 3 variant deal* and so one will take Polarwind while the other would get Scarjini (or viceversa). If that is the case, and Target gets Jadewing, Target probably would receive Polarwind while Wal-Mart would get Scarjini (1 Giant, 1 Reposed, 1 Newlander).

*Both also received a special "pack": LC 3-pack for Target / GITD Cynder&Portal for Wal-Mart

I've seen the sales planners leading up to the week of St Patricks day and there are no new DPCIs being added to the Skylanders PoG. Not to mention no images of any signing that shows Jade Flashwing.

I wouldn't count on "W gets X exclusive so Y will get Z exclusive". They're very sporadic with it. By that logic, everyone should have 10 exclusives to match TRU.

Tru gets more exclusives. They are the lead place for skylanders from a retail standing. I'm not really "counting" on anything. Just saying it would "make sense". Especially when W and Y are major competitors not FYE and JcPenney.

@ali, he sells for the price of a regular skylander... i actually got him online for Walmart's "ship to store" a while back (since there's usually a discount for doing that) so he was only about $7!

Speculation:

Target gets Polar Whirlwind and Jade Flashwing (Granite Crusher makes 3)

Walmart is done having received 3 exclusives (GITD Sonic Boom, GITD Starter Pack, and Molten Hot Dog)

Toys R US (Legendaries count as 1 in my eyes) and I think they'll somehow get Scarlet Ninjini as they did the TRU launch event.

I do not see Best Buy getting anymore exclusives. And I think Gamestop is done with their exclusives too.

This is just my speculation.

Well, one: it was just a theory but two TRU paid out the big bucks and have a solid variant line established (can't wait to see what figures undeservedly get Legendary status next game!) but the other two are getting into it and everything is just speculation at this point.

I thought I read somewhere scarlet ninjini was exclusive to a Playstation bundle like gnarly tree rex. The ps4 comes out this year so when the price drops for the white slim ps3 I thought that's where she would be.

I find that a little different..... Tree Rex was in the bundle with the game. He was not as sought after as what Scarlet Ninjini will be...

When I read "PS4 bundle" I assumed the poster meant "PS4 bundle" as in "Console and game"

Not like that'd happen anyway, due to lack of backwards compatibility on the PS4...

And maybe the "sought-after"-ness may be due to the fact that he was available earlier, as opposed to Scarlet Ninjini who we are still waiting on, 4 months later?

By the 17th, she will be stocked in every Target, so I hope nobody on this forum pays ridiculous ebay prices for a figure that will be easy to find in just a few weeks. And for the speculation on Polar Whirlwind, Jade is the ONLY exclusive that Target will be having in the near future. With Walmart getting Molten Hotdog, you have to expect Polar Whirlwind to be at Best Buy or Gamestop, but I don't have any knowledge on that. I just expect other large retailers to have exclusives similar to those at Target and Walmart.

I went to my local gamestop today (in NJ) and asked if they were getting anymore store exclusives and he did not know of any. Not sure who will get Polar WW or Scarlet Ninjini.

I'll see if I can get it this week. As of last week, there wasn't one set up for her yet.

By stock image, you mean...a shot of Jade in package with an "Only at Target" graphic on it?
The sample I saw last month was out of package. And she was shot out of package for the Target Weekly ad.
I don't work in the stores, so I don't think I'll see a shot of her in package/or get a sample until much closer to the release date. It's possible, I'm just not sure if they will have any where I am.

GS employees are generally completely out of the loop of any future exclusives. Mine didn't even know there would be an iOS game til it got there. Let alone they'd have the exclusive on RDT.

After just picking up my Ninjini, I asked my contact at TRU about Scarlet Ninjini. He is under the impression that she will be a chase variant limited to 1 in every 500. Does anyone have an idea if this is on track or just spec?

Lesty- I have an apology to make. Got a phone call from my Target source last night to tell me the news on Jade Flashwing. You beat him to it by several weeks. It did sound like you making it up but it looks like this is happening. The odd thing is still doesn't seem like there tracking UPC number for Jade Flashwing in the system yet.
