Hey everyone... I was at Meijer (Indianapolis US 31 & 126th St) today and they had the SSA 3DS pack for $17.50. Here's a picture of it at the scanner (they didn't have a place on the shelf marked).

Awesome find. That's a fantastic way to get "Dark Spyro" cheaply.

Too bad Meijer stores are only located in a few states!

No luck at the Bolingbrook, IL store. Meijer had it in stock, but it was the standard $69.99 smilie

However, the store employee indicated that Meijer may be getting a new shipment of Skylanders tomorrow.

Yeah I don't think they do.

Also, the 3DS game of SA deserves better than that!

The 3DS game of Giants on the other hand deserves to be 10$!

It is like a walmart with some organic products and much less of the non food stuff.

Hahah, yeah! smilie (DGMR I actually like both, but Spyro's Adventure is clearly far more polished. smilie)

Yeah I heard the Giants 3DS game was not good at all. From my perspective I don't have a 3Ds so I'd be buying it for the character only--and I'd rather get an entire game package than to pay a scalper list price for the entire system just for a character.

I don't get the occasional hate for Giants 3DS. It's a much better game than SSA was....

That doesn't bode well for Swap Force then, since SSA 3DS was made by Vicarious Visions.

I think that Giants 3DS was a far worse game because it had so flippin many technical issues and lacked any special pop. It wiped my save file, it's made my system crash several times, it lags a lot, and if you want to replay the time trial of an adventure pack battle level the time limit is totally stuffed up. It has a lot more general problems- the levels tend to have uninteresting design, the writing is boring and there are way too many cutscenes, and even the hard-in-concept boss battles are easy. SSA 3DS may have been "shallow", but it never TRIED to have lots of exploration or a large plot, it upfront focused on letting the player play the game, mash enemies to death, and collect crystals. Actually, I did (non-serious) speedruns of both recently, and guess what? Giants was SHORTER than SSA. I finished it in 8:30 and SSA in 9:00(that's forgetting I've also ran through SSA's levels countless times). Course, I deleted both files as I delete all my speedrun files, so I have no proof anyway(though I plan to speedrun again after I have the next wave). But overall, I found Giants to lack the quality and originality of Spyro's Adventure. It feels overly similar to the console game with one or two jumping spots, whereas SSA successfully delivered a different experience. It's just decent on its own, but compared to the console version feels too familiar, without being worthwhile to get alongside it. If I may add, I've played both for 60+ hours each so I'm not simply biased to the first.

All in my opinion and the fandom seems completely divided on it anyway. It really comes down to wether you want something fast paced and filled with action or more exploration and story- that virtually dictates which one you'll prefer.
