Were there only two rock variants (Zook and Whirlwind)? Anyone confirm there isn't an elusive third one? Did they both come in triple and single packs?

To the best of my knowledge:
Zook and Whirlwind were the only two rock variants
Both had the problem where some were flagged as special and no flag set at all
Both I believe are available as singles and 3-packs.

My rock zook is in a 3-pack and is not flagged as special.

I have seen images of rock zook by himself.

Yes, only two Rock/Stone Variants; Whirwind and Zook (no elusive third)... Granite Crusher was a store exclusive for Target and is completely different; not a chase variant. Both rock/stone variants come in both single packs and triple packs... both of mine are in triple packs and both register as "special" in game, although I have heard of more problems with Rock Whirlwind not being "special" than problems with Rock Zook... hope this helps!! smilie

The PinkPrint is on iTunes now! #TeamMinaj
Been here for 3 years and still can't figure out why half of the people are so damn rude.

Correct. The only in-game variants that changes are Royal Double Trouble, Granite Crusher, Jade Flashwing and Molten Hot Dog. The remaining are just visual toy modifications.

Named variants appear differently in the various games. Legendaries, dark spyro, punch pop fizz, etc. Anything that is named differently on the box.

The only exception is the Hidden Treasure Chest / Platinum Treasure Chest. They are the same.

I've been looking consistently for rock and sparkle variants and cannot find them. I'm convinced that employees must take these the majority of the time. (No offense to any retail workers--I know that not ALL are taking advantage of the system)
If anyone is willing to sell or trade at fair prices--not eBay prices--please contact me. smilie
Thanks
Shelly

^ In my area (New Jersey), there were about 3 of each in both Walmart and ToysRUs, soooo angry that I didn't get 'em.

News flash: Fair prices ARE eBay prices. Fair for who...the buyer? They call em chase variants for a reason....

Well--I wasn't trying to be rude but "I" think--and I'd guess done would agree that there is a difference between paying extra because its rare and price gouging--my opinion--I don't mind paying a hundred or two depending on figure--but when they get crazy it seems silly.
I put this in two places because I wanted it to be seen in hopes of finding mutually beneficial situation. If that was a problem in sorry. Geez--I've read this site for awhile and finally decided to post--maybe I shouldn't have. If I've broken a rule I apologize--

Some think paying over 9.99 for any figure regardless of variant is crazy. You just said you didn't mind paying a hundred "or two" for a figure. That's well in line with eBay prices for these two figures. If you wanted them less than $100 you should've gotten them over the holidays. They've gone up 30% since then.

Most of these guys (SSA or SG) are about $150 each...some of the real specials like Prism Employee and Pearl Hex demands $300+. I'm a little disappointed with Glitter Hot Head demanding $200+ per figure but let's face it--it isn't showing up with frequency like White Flocked Stump Smash or White Flocked Eruptor. White Flocked Prism Break is about halfway between these guys in terms of scarcity in the market.

Bottom line--if sellers are using low starting price and no reserve...the prices are reflecting market demand. So that's fair.

So, what's a "fair" price for these guys? I would've loved to get both of these guys right now for $100 each. I've bid and lost on the last 3 that have come to market. I can either choose to raise my bid or go without. I guess you're in the same boat too.
