If you were to list this collection of figures on ebay, what would you start it at and what do you think it would sell for?

All new in packaging, never used

Metallic Cynder
Flocked Stumpy
Blue Bash
Gold Drill Sarge S:SA
Gold Flameslinger S:SA

I ask as my family has fallen on hard times and we are in need of $ now to keep the house. Heh, the economy sucks, i cant find a non minimum wage job, and fewer people are getting their pets groomed. I am already selling my car, some M:TG cards, and quite possibly some Heroclix figures. I am debating selling this due to the negative reaction I will get from my kids and weighing that against the $ coming in. Do I really need the $ for the house? Not life or death yet. Will it make things easier? yup. So let me know your opinions.

I would make seperate auctions for each. You will get more than selling them in a group. The gold figs will probably get you around $150 a piece. Blue bash probably around $25-$30, flocked stumpy if its the frito lay around $50. Metallic cynder id buy from ya lol. I wouldn't put a start price because the auction tends to go higher when it starts low.

My signature is like this because no matter what I put in it apparently it always violates website policy. Hopefully this is ok............................

sell them seperate, for more money, and i would put them at:

cynder: starting bid $95, muy it now $170.

bash: starting bid $17, buy it now $40

flocked: starting bid $36 BIN $55-60

golds: SB $85, BIN $150.

I'd open the bidding at $.99 with free shipping and let the open market decide the value. This will bring more traffic to your listing than any of the flat-price Buy It Now offers. If you're concerned that they will go for less than the amount you want, you can set a reserve price on the item, leaving it as your choice whether to accept the winning bid or not unless the reserve price is met.

Cynder is trending upwards of $200, Flocked Stumpy will fetch between $60-80, Blue Bash is approaching $30 these days, and both of the gold variants are probably capable of fetching $300 a pop on a good day.

Hopefully you can find a good buyer. It's nice having solid assets for situations like this, and boy do Skylanders variants fit the bill. The economy is awful right now. Vhraina and I just barely sold our own variants to cover holiday expenses, so I hear where you're coming from on this. Hope things turn around for you soon.

Thanks for the opinions on these so far. I am trying yo get a vague idea of their value. Based on that figure, my wife and I will make a decision on whether or not it will be worth it to sell them. Can I get some more opinions please?

Plz do not pm me saying you are interested in them or with offers. I am not selling them now.

let the market determine the price. at least you can hold your head up and say you were an honest seller.

for what i have seen on evilbay dude these usually go for

Metallic Cynder = Cheapest ive seen is $80 upto $300
Flocked Stumpy = Cheapest $40 upto $70
Blue Bash = Cheapest $30 upto $60
Gold Drill Sarge S:SA = Cheapest $80 upto $220
Gold Flameslinger S:SA = Cheapest $80 upto $170

these are on past auctions i have been watching dude so its completely up to you i would put a starting price on them of low value because they do tend to rise pretty quick especially for a single day auction like a said just what ave seen and done in the past

Well, I dont think i made out to badly from my auctions. It was a steady stream of bids all week long. The final tally is :

Metallic Cynder - $305.06
Gold Flameslinger - $170.49
Gold Drill Dgt. - $157.50
Flocked Stumpy - $46.52
TRU Blue Bash - $26.13

All auctions were started at $0.01 and went for a full 7 days. What is really funny, within 3 hours of posting the auctions, I got an email from someone offering me $100 to end the cynder auction early. I replied back, thanks but we both know its worth more than that.

Glad to hear you didn't end your auction(s) early, I hate when sellers on Ebay do that. TECHNICALLY it is against Ebay rules to end an auction early to sell said item(s) outside of Ebay but good luck proving it when that's what a seller does. As you already know seeing the final sale price of your figure, those sellers who end early normally just cheat them selves.

It sucks when you have to sell parts of a collection to help with bills but it happens. Last summer I had to sell parts of my beloved Transformers collection to help out while my wife was laid off of work. Considering selling the rest of my collection now though due to quality and physical size of figures going down and cost going up. It's a sad day when a deluxe class figure is now the size of a scout and costs $17.00 retail.

Sorry for rambling on your page but either way I hope the money helps you out. Best wishes to you and your family!

Congrats on the successful auctions. I agree with everyone's advice on selling these in separate auctions. I've tracked video game prices on ebay for about 10 years now and game lots sell for less individual prices 99% of the time. In my short time watching Skylanders prices, it seems to be about the same.
