Look at the bases ln Pop Fizz. It's like the blue/green prism break. Has anyone else noticed it? Which one do you have? And sorry about bad pics. Wanted to show you right away.

All my magic Skylanders have unique bases. My Spyro's is really dark, and my Wrecking Ball's looks like it's not even painted like these. I do hope this doesn't become a 'trend' because it's a pretty boring one.

I've seen several topics like this. And far too many Ebay auctions trying to jack the price up over a slight paint variation or an arm being 10 degrees off from another figure. Has anyone brought up the fact that there are 2 different production codes? Possibly pointing to 2 different factories making the figures?
A good friend of mine is a very avid collector. He pointed this out to me a few months ago but I haven't seen anyone else mention it on the forums. On the back of the package (and on the bottom of the figure's base) is a production code that begins with either "E" or "W". For example, the Whirlwind I have is coded "W2129". It looks like this - Forgive the picture as I just quickly searched online for a picture matching my figure...much faster than trying to upload at the moment. Anyway, the point is, look at the horn. The burgundy and gold blend together. Now look at this one - The horn is half yellow/half burgundy. I am willing to bet that it's coded "E2129". The number may be a little different, but it comes down to the "E" or "W". If someone has a blue and green crystal Prism Break, look at the back of the package (or, again, on the bottom of the base if they're open)...you'll see the code stamped into the package usually somewhere in the bottom half. It's an impression, not print, so you may have to look at it in the light to see it. Here's another example: I have a red-lipped Chill. Her code is W2129. If someone has a blue-lipped Chill, take a look for me. I bet it's an "E". ShroomBoom is another one to look at...the body of some are more yellow or brown depending on which one you get. So what I'm saying is, these variations are based on where they were produced and not as rare as some people are trying to make them out to be. You can try saying it's a fluke, but I've looked at HUNDREDS of figures with my friend (I've said I'm going to set up an intervention for him ) and we consistently find the same thing over and over...the "E" and "W" have slightly different paint jobs. There are different codes for the Lightcores and Giants as well. Sorry, but I don't remember what they are at the moment. A quick look at mine, all my Giants start with "E" so it may also be a "W" variation. My Lightcore (I only have one so far) starts with "L" and end with "A". And just for general information (you may want to check your own to verify), my starter pack Tree Rex, Cynder, and Jet-Vac are coded "L2129". I'm guessing all starter packs have this "L" code.

Original Zap as in S:SA? Because I'm specifically referring to Giants figures (though the S:SA figures also have the codes on the bottom and back of the card) My S2 Zap & HD are coded E4127A and the Scorpion Striker is E4127. Again, this could be an exception since it's a pack instead of a single. And it doesn't matter if it's a different factory or not, the point is, the E's and W's are different. My friend and I have compared many many numerous figures and it's always the same variation between the codes.
