Arrived at TRU at open this morning. Nothing. Asked around, no one had any knowledge of any Skylanders in the stockroom streetdated for Friday. Looking slim, folks. :-(

Well, Monday was President's Day, so yesterday may have been the day figures left the warehouse. Probably wouldn't even see California sightings until this afternoon at absolute earliest. It's premature to say there will be no release this weekend when there hasn't been enough time for the figures to actually arrive yet. I'm still optimistic.

Well, I remember all of the predictions being thrown around this week. So far, one hasn't happened. My local Walmart did get 2 boxes of Skylanders yesterday. Everyone's theory that since they arrived in the Netherlands, that means the next batch to arrive must be wave 4, can count that out, as the 2 boxes my Local Walmart (which is good about getting the new stuff quick) still only got boxes of wave 3.

This Walmart has 4 seperate sections for Skylanders. 3 of those sections need to be filled. So, if everyone's theories that it must be wave 4 is correct, I should see a crapload of wave 4. However, I plan on seeing a massive amount of wave 3 coming in this week.

And I agree with you. In the case of my local TRU, it makes no sense at all for them to be putting out several cases of wave 3 yesterday if they are going to turn right around and have wave 4 ready on shelves Friday morning.

X-treme I am pretty sure that they are making the toys alsi. I would look but I am posting from my phone and my works ci mputer blocks the eeb sites.

I live in the SF Bay Area and went to the Toys R Us right by my work. They got 3 boxes of Skylanders in but nothing new.

isnt it that TFB and VV has partnered with a company that makes the prototype in house easily before mass producing it to china??? forgot the name of the company but its the same company that made the peripherals for guitar hero.


i went to couple walmarts and TRU today all they have are newly stocked out of the box wave 3, striker pack, EBs and TBs. TRU employee said next shipment was possibly Tuesday or Wednesday unless some impromptu shipment with in this week with regards to Legandry LC chill or new figures.

My local Walmart also has some Skylanders where they keep an endcap with the 360 bundle with Green Gill. They have another endcap right next to the main Skylanders display, which makes 4 sections.

Went again today. Notta. No Molten, which still shows 24 on order, and no wave 4. I bet we don't get any HTA tomorrow.

anything is possible the HTA for TRU. my TRU got their shipment late night before store closing for the HTA for EB and TB. anyways we will soon get hits figures one way or the other but the sooner the better ayt?

No, no variants.

Checked another Toys R Us near my house and they had a ton of Hot Head, Thumpback, and Eye-Brawl. I already have them (and an extra of each for my nephew to give him in April for his birthday) so I didn't need any.

Pardon my noobishness, but what does HTA stand for?

Hot Toy Alert. TRU sends those to subscribers to notify them of sudden stock that will be on the shelf the following morning.

Just having one of their reward cards with your email on it is one way to sign up. That way you get coupons too that you can't use on Skylanders, video games, Legos, iPods, or anything else you might actually want. In fact, the Hot Toy Alert emails is the only thing useful I have ever gotten out of using that silly card.

You could also have an account on the website, or respond to a survey on the receipt.

It varys for Walmart. The UPS trucks come in the afternoon so some stock soon after, but others wait til they close or during the evening when/if it slows down. This also depends if they have room on the shelves. My store has a small area for Skylanders so until there is room on the shelf they wait for room. You can always ask an employee and most of them (Not all care to help - just want to get paid and go home) will check the back for a specific character for you.

As for TRU, when it is a normal every day/week delivery it is usauallybetween 10 - 2 when the truck comes in.
As for the Wave "X" release I believe TRU Stocks them in the morning before they open or after they close the night before. Either way they should be on the shelf when doors open the day after the HTA.
There are a few TRU Employees here on this forum that can confirm or deny if this is accurate. Lets see what they say.

Right...I've haven't heard anything about the company producing the toys and any change there. Probably not important as they don't participate in the creative process per se.

Went to TRU today and nothing new. Lots of LC specially Shroomboom. Two boxes of Giants (2 Eye, 2 Thump, 1 Hot Head, 1 Crusher). The Camo/Warnado 3 pack is also available. No variants It does seem that Activision is starting to restock just before the final push. We can only hope.

From the videos I saw, TFB had recently purchased a 3d printer (all the rage in last six months from an investment perspective) to quickly build prototypes--cut down prototypes tremendously. I'm assuming they work with China on the manufacturing process to make sure the details/quality is there.

All the stores (TRU, Walmart, Target, Gamestop) I have been to are the same. I've seen Eye Brawl and Thumpback numerous times at practically every store that sells Skylanders, same with the Scorpion Striker, Wave 3 singles and Lightcores. It appears inventory season is over and mass restocks are coming in.

Well, went to TRU and talked to a friend of mine. No HTA tonight folks. They got new Skylanders in today, but nothing more than wave 3. They don't have any boxes for wave 4 in the back, they're not getting said boxes via FedEx today, and no planned HTA event for tomorrow like it was stated here.

Likewise for Walmart. No Moltens today in my city. They got a massive amount of wave 3 singles, giants, battle packs, and wave 4 boxes of spyro's adventure adventure packs, which are now marked as SA(W4).

Looks like this noise of wave 4 showing up tomorrow is B-to the-ogus.

All of my Walmarts show Molten on order, which could take 7-14 to get them. They're not even on their way to the store, because the manager lady friend of mine told me that they would show as "in transit," and not "on order."

EDIT: I did, however, find me one of those Series 2 Prism Breaks with green crystals and picked that up.

Honestly, Wave 4 is imminent, and could show up at any time. The 2/22-3/9 window for releases is likely accurate, and they really can arrive any day now. Molten Hot Dog kicked off the wave in the US, and actually showed up a day before the 22nd. Yes, it may have been expecting a bit much to want that HTA e-mail tonight, but regardless of whether or not anyone's local store gets them today, tomorrow, or next week, the truth is that the wave really has well and truly begun.

Spyro, Wrecking Ball, L. LC Chill, and Molten Hot Dog are all out right now, it's just a matter of where.

And GM, if my Walmart gets the toys today for whatever reason, I'll let you know. You came through for us when our stores were devoid of Warnado/Camo for a solid month, and I'd be more than happy to forward you a couple MHD for cost. We live close, so they'd almost definitely arrive well in advance of your store's window.

But, Tash, by that logic, we should have already had Legendary Chill by now. It's been out for about a week now in Canada. When L-Trigg came out in Canada last year, we got it a week later.

Not so with L-Chill apparently. Not even someone in Cali has her. Nearest to my Zipcode is 965 miles, which happens to be Sarnia, Ontario, Canada.

And thanks for keeping an eye out. I can always do the same for you, like I have before. I am still calling around today. If I happen to find any Walmarts with them, I will pick one up for you and Vhraina.

Yeah, I'm with you, I really did expect L. LC Chill to be the absolute first figure to arrive. Wasn't thinking Hot Dog would get here this week at all. Granted, I'm just happy to see new stuff, but this seems to indicate some kid of special launch event is planned for Chill; sort of like Stealth Elf was saved for Black Friday even when the figure was clearly already out.

But what special event could they save it for? Black Friday is over. Easter wouldn't make sense, in my opinion. Last year, TRU did that one event on March 21st, which didn't hold any significance.

Yeah, that's what I'm expecting. They're going to make up an event. Or, it's being held back because the ad featuring the character is still weeks away, and they want to have the figure in the store to coincide with that week's circular. Some silly reason that's only going to irritate people who know the figure is available, I'm sure.
