Anyways, I went to Wal-Mart a bit ago to get some things and as always checked out the Skylanders..... nothing new but I did see some boxes that looked like skylander boxes, Couldn't see what was in them or if they had a date will check in the morning on my way to work.

Weekly ads/flyers need a lot of lead time with designing and printing and distributing them. Activision may not give specific information until the items are close to shipping. It's possible the next wave will be In stores without any print advertising support. For what it's worth, target will feature hot dog and jade flashwing in their march 17th ad, and the Jade and eye brawl the following week. No sign of ninjini or spyro but that doesn't mean they aren't coming necessarily. It just means that's what target had activision agreed to show on ad.
Lots of good skylanders promotions coming up at target so keep your eyes peeled.

Bazinga, here's some info that could help you -

GR(W1-4) = Singles (12 to a case)
GS(W1-4) = Giants (6 to a case)
GL(W1-4) = Lightcores (12 to a case)
GT (W1-4) = Triple Packs (6 to a case)
GB (W1 & 3) = Battle Packs (6 to a case)

Look for those numbers/initials in the top-left hand corner of the side of any Skylanders box, and you will know it's Skylanders and which wave.

(W1-4) = Wave 1, 2, 3, or 4.

As for what KB posted, i'm not gonna jump on it yet.

But I'm okay with waiting another week for Constipated Drobot.

Zap, don't pay the skepticism any mind. There were people here who thought the Walmart Exclusive Red Drill Sergeant was fake. People even said he was the result of a 3D printer when he randomly showed up from out of nowhere with no notice. As if anyone could believe that's more plausible than a surprise figure launch, lawl. People will believe anything, no matter how implausible, when confronted with the fact that their collections are no longer complete. Just go to the store later this week, pick up your Spyro and Wrecking Ball, and enjoy being right.

And to anyone who is randomly denying that Skylanders are released with no notice, seriously... how short is your memory? Eye Brawl and Thumpback came out by surprise, Wave 3 singles came out by surprise, LC Shroom Boom was a surprise, Wave 2 came out by surprise when the game came out, Walmart's Red Drill Sergeant came out by surprise, Wham Shell came out by surprise, Camo and Warnado came out by surprise... The list could easily go on, but I don't think it has to. Pretty sure I've already made my point. The only figure in recent memory that had any kind of advance release date at all was Hot Dog, and even that didn't show up when it was expected.

Actually, give me a second notch on my scorecard. I was skeptical about the idea of TRU employees/CAG posters posting pics of the boxes come today, which you predicted they would. However, the last post mentions nothing but someone who found an EB and TB at their local BB over this past weekend.

I'm not trying to start some silly debate over this, but you've been making a big deal about all of this ever since ONE person in the Netherlands posted a pic of 2 figures. I am willing to wager that said person is also the one selling the ONLY Spyro and Wrecking Ball listed on Ebay.de. I don't find it to be a coincidence that there is only one person posting here saying they have them, and only one poster on Ebay.de selling them. In other words, only one person has them.

No one seems to be bragging about having them on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Neogaf, Gamefaqs, or CAG. Only one person posted here and only one listing of each is on Ebay.

There's a lot of testosterone in this thread. They're toys. And most of them, we've already played before. They'll come out. Eventually.

I'm going to use Activision's last wave as a rule of thumb...so....I'm going to say ~4 characters max. In Wave 5 we'll get the balance, with Ninjini.

All brand new, listed immediately after the end of the previous auctions. Whoever is selling them seems to have bought stock, because they certainly have more to sell. Again, it's not DarkeL, because he clearly would have alerted us to the Hot Dog single as well. It's not like that isn't big news too. You can feel free to ask him, but I can pretty much guarantee what he's going to say; some version of "Yup, they're out. Bought them at GameStop's Netherlands equivalent. Didn't see Hot Dog, or else I would've got him as well." But again, burden of proof isn't on me here. I've already shown that DarkeL isn't the eBay seller, and that the eBay seller is selling more than one copy of each figure.

And these are on ebay.nl, not .de. So it's possible we're looking at two entirely different sellers here.

The Hot Dog single would seem to indicate so. That's a rather strange thing to predict and subsequently be proven right on, especially since the Scorpion Striker is still so fresh. Either it was a very lucky guess, or, more likely, KaBooMer is the credible source he purports to be. I really wouldn't doubt that this was common knowledge at the Toy Fair like he says, to be honest.

The listings on Gamestop.de have a Shroomboom single listing along with Spyro, Wrecking Ball and Hot Dog. That's enough for me to accept it given that we have visual confirmation of the other three new listings, and it matches KaBoomEr's description of the contents of each box. I think it's safe to say he's the second Newlander of Wave 4.

And we might as well see as little as 2 of each of the new LCs in each box

I actually do have my hopes up for the 22nd... at least, for the new singles only. Those at least have some semblance of shipping confirmation. As with Wave 3, though, I fully expect them to utilize the full 22nd-8th window with Ninjini coming out towards the tail end. Just like how Thumpback and Eye Brawl took their sweet time joining Wave 3, but are officially considered part of that wave regardless.

I think we'll see the singles (spyro, wrecking ball, hot dog, Shroomboom, maybe even legendary chill) friday, the lightcores (pop fizz and chill) the week after, and Ninjini at the tail end

First, Zap, you were just doing this to get attention. You created 4 threads saying wave 4 would come out! 1 would have been enough. Even 1 here and 1 on Giants would be ok. But 4? You noticed by the time of your 4th thread, everyone was yelling at you.

Second, you were responding to me and other people raising reasonable points, like a complete lack of proof of anything in the U.S., or anything giving a U.S. release date or even hinting at one, by getting angry. And every time someone asked, you'd just shout "It is a fact!" That doesn't back up your claim, and it doesn't make you look very good.

Finally, and this is the important one, you are causing people REAL inconvenience. When you say, "They are coming out the 22nd, it's a fact" people will take off of work for that. Worse, kids will tell parents about it, and those parents will leave work early, or come in late, for that. Do you not get it? That time is valuable! My job has probably has a little more flexibility than most, but I sure as hell can't take off every day to go hunt Skylanders, and most other people can't either. They have to pick and choose the day they will leave early or come in late, and if they do that on the wrong day, guess what? That time is wasted, some people may not get paid for it, and they won't be able to get off when the new Skylanders actually come in. I'm not supporting Zap necessarily; he and I just happen to agree that it's absurd to still be asking for production art and advertisements to confirm that new releases are upon us when clearly they're already both in hand and on eBay. It doesn't matter that this is overseas, because all countries get the same stock from the same central distributor and always have. All the skepticism is arbitrary, just like it always is. Just like it was when UncleBob said Molten Hot Dog was coming to Walmart, just like when Eye Brawl and Thumpback showed up in Puerto Rico and California, just like Wave 3's Christmas launch, and just like when people thought foreign shipments didn't count with Wham-Shell. Spoiler alert, he was in the US three days later and most of the folks who ordered him from Australia for a hundred bucks were still waiting for their order when he appeared at GameStop.

My issue is that nobody wants to accept all sorts of confirmation and instead prefer the same weird conspiracy theories I've heard a thousand times before. This literally happens every time they release a single figure, and I'm sick of it. It's nothing personal, it's not me sticking by Zap (who I don't think I've said more than a couple of words to before this thread, so why would there be any loyalty?), it's just that somebody has to stand up for the rational explanation on these boards. We don't need a thousand different forms of proof to substantiate an impending release. The four or five forms of proof that have already been supplied should more than suffice.

In reality, YOU need some sort of proof that skepticism is a valid stance, because I'm just not feeling any validity to denying pictures, listings, insider knowledge from the recent Toy Fair, and a history of random and unscheduled releases that literally dates back to Wave 2 of the first game when Hex, Dino Rang and Wrecking Ball showed up from out of nowhere. Allow me to be very clear when I say that nobody has any cause they can substantiate to expect an official announcement! Period! Even seeing these figures "in the flesh" is more than we got in December, when people were still doubting a Wave 3 release as I was bringing them home from the store. The concept of advance notice with Skylanders is completely made-up.

In any case, I've said what I have to say. If you don't want to believe it, I couldn't possibly care any less at this point. Everyone in the thread who's saying to watch for new figures is only trying to help.

Well, we all know the skepticism was warranted, as it appears that perhaps that nothing is coming this week afterall. I mean, there's a slight chance we may see L-Chill, but just like someone else here said, what if they hold it back a number of weeks like they did the launch of L-Stealth Elf?

I'm not even saying we'll see them this week for sure, just that whenever another order of fresh single packs arrive at any store, it's obvious what's going to be in them. That could be tomorrow, could be this weekend, could be next week, but regardless, it's soon. I'm optimistic that at least one store is going to have some of their single pack orders filled this week, and there aren't any Wave 3 boxes left to ship, otherwise that's what they'd have used for those Netherlands orders. There's literally no possible way they specifically chose the freaking Netherlands as the first place in the world to launch new figures; there's no timed exclusive over there.

I get this but, at the same time, it's not Zap's fault if someone takes the wrong day off. Zap didn't force them to do it or persuade them to do it, they did it by their own accord. After all, they should be working. I have school (college, I'm not that young!) and yet I don't even take off of that for a new Skylander.

umm why fuzz about this. plain and simple you dont believe then dont go. no one is forcing you to go to retailers on the speculated date. yet worse is blaming others for Skipping work or school just because of a toy release due someones assumption. im also with those guys pics or didnt happen but not gona hurt me if I check those days. but will not blame or complain since its my own doing going there in the first place.whether or not I find what im looking for.

I've been lurking all of these Wave 4/L-LC-Chill/Ninjini/Molten Hot Dog/etc threads for awhile now, checking up on local stores daily, and personally haven't found any indication of anything new getting released this week by the 22nd.

With that said, I agree with Tashiji about how some do indeed sneak up on us. Honestly, majority of the employees that I speak to at all of these retail stores either 1) Don't care and are just trying to get me off the phone, or 2) Are completely brain dead.

I truly think that we'll see L-LC-Chill this week, but Wave 4 as a whole I'm unsure still. I feel a lot more confident saying that Molten Hot Dog will be out around March 1st, and Jade Flashwing the week of the ~17th. It's just really tough saying about the entire wave.

Eye-Brawl and Thumpback really were a surprise on my end (in Illinois). I literally have 8 Gamestops within ~15-20 minutes driving distance of me, and in the end I only found them at ONE store, and there was only one of each.

I guess we'll see soon enough, regardless I'll be waiting for TRU to open on Friday. All I truly want anymore is Scarlet/Reg Ninjini, Polar Whirlwind, Jade Flashwing, and Molten Hot Dog. The rest I can be patient for months for.

Also, if wave 4 was coming out, wouldn't Dan have blogged about the release of wave 4 like he did wave 3? Why only blog wave 3's release, but not 4's?
