So, I would like to chronicle the scarcity of characters to see which is more of a regional trend and/or perhaps more of a global trend. I'd like to keep this thread updated as folks make their runs to their favorite local Skylander shops.

Rules: State Your Location. So, I'm located in North Carolina/USA

Rules: State the scarcity!

So, here's my update:

• I think it would be safe to say Thumpback and Eye-Brawl are pretty much on a global scarcity level. Demand is high.
  
• Hot Head is still nowhere to be found. Accidentally found several twice (both cases they were the last one).
  
• Has anyone else noticed general non availability of S2 Slam Bam and Fright Rider? I can't find them in stores or online.
  
• Lightcore Jetvac has not been sighted for a couple of months.
  
• Lightcore ShroomBoom has yet to be seen in my local stores.
  
• S2 Lightning Rod I've seen twice--and bought the last one both times.
  
• Wave 4 Triple Packs NOWHERE.
  

I've seen Lightcore Jet Vac and Fright Rider quite consistantly in New Zealand. Giants stuff is still 'new' enough to be readily available, Spyro's Adventure stuff on the other hand is downright endangered.

S2 Slam Bam, he's sort of hit/miss at the moment.

Out of scope for the thread, but I totally agree. I'm guessing whatever is available online will be "it." My local Best Buy has said there will be no more SSA stuff shipped to the store---yet they still carry the starter pack...interesting.

I've seen so many S1 stump smashes you wouldn't believe. So SSA may have hope

Location: Long Island NY General area has many targets,walmarts and toysrus in the area. Example: from my home alone i can get to at least 7 targets not traveling more then 30-45min. 5 toysrus, if you count the outlets in malls or standalone (we have many of the smaller outlet ones around here) Walmarts about 3 in a 15min travel radius 3 more if i go 30-45min.
Scarcity:

1. TRU seem to have spyro adventure stuff, mostly adventure packs and the triple of camo, warndo, and ignitor. Legendary Trigger happy seems to be slowly going out, Legendary stealth elf seems to be all over, Legendary bouncer is mostly gone except for one store out in bayshore that has like 7 of them and have had them for awhile. The Legendary spyro is all but gone except for Deer Park outlet one, the Legendary giants pack is gone everytwhere except for NYC (as of the date of the Ninji event, thou possibly gone now) and one Toysrus in Little Neck which has a few.
Eyebrawl and Thump Ive not seen since the toy alert except as of friday the one in carle place has TONs, like 20 of each with a 2 per a person limit on all giants and also now the hotdog pack.

2. Target: Been seriously lacking, the only new stuff Ive seen lately there is pop fizz, stealth elf and cynder. I saw lighting rod and terrafan once and bought those, never saw them again. They been mostly stuck with the lightcores of jet vac, drobot, eruptor, and prisem break. Giants wise they have alot of swarms, rarely Ive seen a hot head or crusher. I've never seen eyebrawl or thump at a target around here. Ive seen lightcore shroomboom once, bought all 3 they had. Never seen him again.

3. Walmart. Mostly the 3 packs of giants from earlier waves. Friday they added hotdog 3-pack. Ive seen eyebrawl and thump once, like 2 of each. So they either got a box or two there or more and they just sold out. No one also at 2 of them knows anything about molten hot dog as of yet.

4. Kmart: I dont even bother with. The one in bayshore sucks and is crappy and has always bad stock on stuff. The one in lawrence last i went there was still closed from Hurrican sandy as is the bestbuy down there.

5. Bestbuy: Same as target. old 3 packs, old lightcores, sharm and today five 3 packs of hotdog.

All the above info is from this pass week. My sons birthday is this sunday, been looking for power ranger megaforce items and skylanders while at the stores.

Slambam, frightrider, chill and flameslinger are no where around here. Most of wave 1 and 2 is just outright gone except for the lightcores. I haven't seen a frightrider since i was away in PA during Xmas and i found my slambam on clearance at FYE.

My bad on that. I can at least keep an eye out for certain Giants figures should anyone be looking for them. The Warehouse seems to be quite a reliable supplier in the southern end of the world.

Tennessee/USA

1. Usually see 2-3 each Thumpbacks and Eyebrawls at local Gamestops.
2. Lightcore JetVac very common in Target stores.
3. Local Walmart hasn't refilled stock in 4 weeks
4. HotHead very common in Gamestops/Targets
5. At least 2 Wave 3 and 4 Triple packs at local Gamestops

I'm at Lisbon, Portugal, here are the updates:

There are many Dragonfire Cannon Battlepacks, many, really many
Hot Head is okay here, Crusher and Bouncer too, Swarm is kinda
We still don't have Eye-Brawl and Thumpback, they should be here by the end of the month
We still sell SSA stuff
I saw one Fright Rider, some Chills, one LC Jet-Vac and no Shroombooms, Flashwings are okay
We are low on new Skylanders

lightcore jet vac and fright rider is very common in NZ, i agree with the slambam shortage though
hot head is still relatively common here, we are only about to get wave 3 this week so no comments on them yet

just as an extra, i actually saw a single voodood in ebgames yesterday, was amazed to see him still in a retail store ;o

I'd say Hot Head, Eye Brawl & Thumpback are easily obtained ("fler än" means "more than")

Wave 1 & 2 triple packs are gone and wave 3 triples are available but in low numbers

The local GameStop has all the wave 3 stuff and a small selection of SSA stuff (including a Voodood/Boomer/Prism Break triple pack that I may grab next week after payday)

Other than that everything pops up regularly. I sometimes even see some spyro's adventure stuff.

My Local Walmart has LC Shroomy, LC Jet-Vac, and Lightning Rod. As far as Slam Bam and Fright Rider have not seen them in months.

New Jersey, USA

Stores are attacked by people, scalpers attack Walmart and ToysRUs.

Canton, Ohio

A lot of Sprocket and Flashwing triple packs.
Tons of Bouncers, Swarms, and a decent amount of Hot Head.
Most S2 are easy to find except for Slam Bam and Lightning Rod.
Lightcores are asy to find except LC Shroomboom.
Crusher, Thumpback, and Eye Brawl are near impossible to find.
Fright Rider and Chill singles are pretty rare.

For SSA:
Tons of Empire of Ice, Dragon's Peak (Sunburn is the only unreposed character that's easy to find in my area), Singles of Stealth Elf, Sonic Boom, Hex, Chop Chop, Drill Sergeant, Stump Smash, and Wrecking Ball/Stealth Elf/Sonic Boom triples.
Everything else is rare or uncommon.

I know a gamestop a short ways from my house that had 2-3 fright riders last time I checked.

U.S. michigan
Toys r us: Toys r us is really well stocked. They usually have all of the skylanders that had come out since the last wave. Recently however, they have gotton a LOT of thump back's, Eye brawls, and catapult battle packs. They also have a LOT of SSA figures, mostly the 3-pack of camo, warnado, and ignitor, and singles of drill seargent and hex.

Walmart: Pretty standard, mostly wave 1 and 2 items, with some figures being harder to fond.

Target: Same as walmart, but occasionally they have a granite crusher.

Gamestop: Lots of wave 1 and 2 and a few golden dragonfire cannons.
