How do you do it because I REALLY need the knight hat!

To unlock Nightmare mode, you got to finish one game on any of the 3 first modes.
Then, when you complete nightmare mode (which is really hard), you will get the Knight Hat, but you can only wear it on the Nightmare mode savefile

Also you need to start a new game to do nightmare and you can not change the difficulty setting.

once the game is beaten on any diffaculty you get it. Then you gotta re play it. I just beat it over the weekend. It takes a bit longer, and you'll go through a lot more lives. As some enemies seem to take out 100 damage at a time. you have to get good at dodging!

Nightmare isn't very hard if you have a good 5 or so Skylanders who are Level 15 and have a good path. Took me about a week of off and on playing. Beat nearly every level with HotDog with Heat Wave path.

nightmares a good difficulty..i would love to see nightmare difficulty be 'hard' difficulty in the next game, and have a really nightmarish difficulty after that...but as its focused @ kids i feel this wont happen.

Nightmare wasn't enough,I need a horde mode.

Plenty of Skylanders get tired for me on nightmare mode...If the boy and I are playing together, it's a massacre. LOL

hell and inferno difficulty anyone? this wud be really interesting.

i like the idea of horde mode...no free space...every block of land being covered with a monster hahah

Well that part is untrue... You only have it available to put on a Skylander on the Nightmare mode save file, but that character will still be wearing it on if you use him on another save file (unless that's what you meant, that you'll only have it available on that save file to put on a character).

But they put hell in Flameslinger's upgrade.

Hell mode = all enemies deal +50% damage. melee characters will be given +armor +hp regen bonus
Inferno mode = all enemies will 1 hit you if your a range or spell caster. melee characters will be given +armor +hp regen bonus
(based on D3 difficulty modes)

idk how many kids will cry if this is gona get implemented at least chances are your prolly gona use all your collection.

I was already in Nightmare mode when I started using HotDog, Eyebrawl, Thumpback, JetVac, and a few others.
All starting off at Level 1. Nightmare is not difficult.
