Hello! I'm just wondering if anyone knows of a quick way for the "eat 50 pieces of food"? Any way of making less time consuming?

The arena challenge. With brock throwing food for you left and right it'll be a snap.

^ This. Arena 1-3 is perfect for this. You'll max it in no time flat. Maybe even your first run.

For those who remember "Gauntlet" :
Hot Head needs food...badly.

RIP GhostRoaster. He's reanimated as TakeYourLemons but occasionally is resurrected from the beyond when needed. |

The arena challenge "this is a baaaaaad idea" it's in pipsqueak's mincemeat mayhem. The 4th from the left. When you defeat an enemy it gives you food.

Arenas give a ton of food (3-5 pieces) during the breaks, can be done quickly, and give some nice gold too.

arena challenges are the best, or just try to get more stars in the chapter levels with health wheels in the luck-o-tron.
hot heads heroic do not count toward this trophy. (at least for me i know it doesnt, im up to my 28th character clearing through all 22 giants heroic challenges and none of them have received credit for collecting hot heads heroic watermelons (im on the Wii U system)) however i did find that they did count towards terrafins 'collect food while under ground' trophy |

I'm playing on the PS3 and the watermelons in Hot Head's heroic do not count for the "eat 50 pieces of food" quest. I have done all heroics with all characters.

Seriously? You need a short-cut to accomplish a food-eating quest? People are so impatient. If you just play a while, it will take care of itself. Put a couple of food wheels in the Luck-O-Tron contraption and play on easy.

yeah. this is one of those quests I tend to complete by accident without even trying. Sorta like completing a heroic challenge without taking damage. I'm just playing and suddenly I get the little pop up that says "Chow Hound: Completed" and I think, oh, cool. Really no need to go out of your way on this one

Correct. Technically you're collecting them, not eating them - you don't get any health back from them either. (I believe the ingredients from Shroomboom's challenge are the same.)

AHHHHH! Nice quote there. I tend to paraphrase this about half of the time when I let myself go way too long without eating. Quote: skelekon
Shroomboom, no, you really are just collecting them, and most of them don't even appear anywhere in the game AS food. But for Hot Head's, my characters all "crunch" with each one, like they're eating them... And I think I did get health from them... Are we sure? I guess it makes sense, you can't get the Waterfalls quest - knocking enemies off the edge of the world - in the Arena, where it would be too easy. I do know the arena food works for this quest, I completed this quest for one character in the arena. Just don't try the "Don't get hit" ones, they don't give food, since the way they accomplish the challenge is to put your health to 1 then not let you heal. Someone reported that Terrafin's works in Hot Head's HC, though... Anyone know if Camo's quest does (Eat 10 Watermelons)? I already completed it, so I can't check.

Isn't his special to kill 8 guys with a belly flop or something? As I recall, that's it... I went to Chapter 1: Time Of The Giants. Then when I got to the Chompy Pit, I walked around the arena, killing none, letting the chompies collect behind me. After a few circles they bunch up, you see. There's a limit of 10 chompies out at a time. After a few turns at the bottom of the screen I turned around and did a flop (Attack 2, as I recall, the second attack you start with). Bingo, the quest popped for me. I usually find ANYTHING which requires defeating a bunch of enemies at once calls for chompies.

What he meant was Thumpback's Elemental Waterfall Quest. His attacks aren't friendly enough to knock them off the edge.

Well that's not THUMPBACK'S quest, that's one of the Water quests...
Solved that one too... Chapter 2, Junkyard Isles, first island. Bashed the first wall, walked past the two Root Runners there, around to the left, destroyed the Lesser Wall (the one that doesn't need a bomb if you're not a Giant). On this left edge, you can drop down to a hidden ledge to access a cave. I took Thumpback to the upper edge of this, dropping from the Root Runner section down onto the top of the tree from the lower ledge. The chompies jumped off the ledge to get me, but went over my head and died. And since the one Root Runner is so close, they keep coming while I stand there "collecting". Got it quickly that way.
