So.... Is the jade flashwing on Saint Patricks Day at Target confirmed?

I was just using those as an example. Not saying I was right, however I know in most cases that things like DVD's CD's all those type cost very little money.

As for TRU running sales on them every two weeks, they usually don't run sales around new wave releases. Also their base price is higher than everywhere else. So to get both them more on a level playing field you might see B1G1 40% off, however this is usually not around time of wave releases. It is a few weeks after a big release and all the hardcore people have theirs.

Anyways no use in getting to a big fight over something so small like this anyways.

A.) New Release DVDs don't generally have a high margin just for the fact that they're something that drives people into a store weekly.

B.) Two years running, TRU has had a great sale on Skylanders stuff at launch, allowing me to pick up a great chunk of my collection when the stuff is brand spankin' new.

C.) I don't think this is a "big fight" - I like to think it's a reasonable adult discussion.

No what he is saying the people sell them as pre-orders then go to wal-mart and buy them and then ship them.

I'd report the pre-orders on eBay. They absolutely cannot guarantee shipment within 30 days.

Its a walmart exclusive. Nobody will have any problem finding these. My walmart still had shelves full of gitd sonic boom. I wish all exclusives were handled by walmart. Their stock is ridiculous. Same thing when red drill sarge came out. They had 100s and still have some to this day. At least the one in my area does I assume is the same everywhere.

No one really knows for sure. Could it come out that day? I think so. No one has real actual paper/internets proof yet.

but if they where doing jade flashwing for st pats, why wouldnt they do crimson ninjini on v-day, just saying

Hey..sorry for being so mysterious. I'd be happy to post an image of Jade if you want to see her. Jade Flashwing is the Target exclusive. I'm not trying to be some kind of secret insider or anything. I don't think this information is confidential, but since it hasn't been officially announced, I'm reluctant to share everything I know. It should be out the week leading up to St. Patricks Day, but if you look in your Target ad that Sunday, March 17th, you'll see the exclusive Jade featured. I just want to help get the word out so Skylander fans will know where to get her. I bought Skylanders Giants for my son's 6th birthday less than 3 months ago, and since then he (and I to a point) have become pretty obsessed, and have amassed 36 characters in that short time. And until the Jade Flashwing exclusive is officially announced, I'd appreciate it if everyone keeps that information within this forum, and doesn't blog or share it out too much.

I understand where you are coming from. Not saying you are doing this but, we have had some people try and troll us on here. Again not saying that you are doing that. So, I tend to be a little more reluctant to believe this type of stuff just due to the fact that I want me a jade flashwing!

We are sceptical of your statement. Untill pictures have been provided we are not to believe it has occurred.

I think the thing is here, your story is no more or less plausible than Unclebob's about Molten Hot Dog, which turned out valid. However, Unclebob is a long time poster, with over 500 posts - whereas you are a new poster with 10. So it comes down to credibility, he has more to lose than you (anyone could create a burner account). This should not be taken personally, once bitten twice shy, or in the case, fifty times bitten, fifty-one shy I guess.

There have been tons of trolls in the past, notably one guy that turned out to be a prior Ebay scammer before Christmas that said he had a Thumpback in hand at TRU that an employee friend showed him out the back door (I suspect he was attempting to pump a scam auction).

Now, if you could post some image proof, that would help a ton. If you cannot, that's fine too, no one should risk their job over this sort of thing. We will see for sure in a month, and you will be validated if true. So, please forgive us for being skeptical, credibility takes some time and evidence to build. Regardless, thank you for the information (and anything else you can offer), should it be accurate.

I had a friend who used to work at Target corp and had have access to the print ad over a month in advance. So if it is in the March 17th ad, most Target corp employees would have access to it.

Oh lesty how I hope you are right! I really wants me a jade and target at St. Pat's sounds perrrfect for me. I do my shopping at Target every week. I think this is sounding totally plausible, and at this point, photo proof would be the cream cheese icing.

It really wasn't bad stocking, just very inconsistent stocking. Plenty of them were out there to purchase in stores and it was on the website for a long time for ordering. Of course, if you waited until later thinking it was going to continue to be obtainable, well that didn't turn out so well. Some stores got pegs full of them, others just a few. I think it came down to the store, and whether they put out everything or not as well as general sales of the figures at that location. It likely won't be that hard to get, but ... don't wait until May to start looking for it.

Also, another thing in favor of this being not so bad, is that Flashwing isn't a really popular figure. They have been so easy to find after that initial shipment, I've seen kids in the stores just pass over them. The whole pink/lavender girl dragon thing just doesn't go over well with the boys and I'm not sure making it green will change that. I like Flashwing, my sons pretty much ignore her when selecting their character.

^ I hope youre right about her being easy to get. Flashwing is one of my favorite new ones. But i too saw a young boy tell his dad he still needed eruptor and flashwing, and he picked eruptor. So little boys arent as fond of her. But I certainly thought shed be one of the more rare ones.

My son considers all of the girl characters "Mommy's figures". Ones for her to play when she plays with him, he says that is why he doesn't play with them, but I suspect he just prefers the boy ones. That includes Stealth Elf, Hex, Flashwing, Chill, Sprocket, etc. On Christmas it was funny as he pulled them out of the gifts - "Look Mommy, another one for you!".

haha thats funny. I'm a girl and i dont even like stealth elf, sprocket etc. I do however like the girl dragons and sonic boom

And the only female member of my "Team Gorgonite" (top 8) is sprocket.

Well my birthday is St. Patrick's Day, so it'll be a happy birthday to me if I can get a Jade Flashwing.

I have a feeling that TFB and mainly Activision were trying to reach out to the young girl gamers this time. That is why we saw Flashwing, Sprocket, Chill, and (will see) Ninjini. To try and get the young girl gamers to try and play it more.

Jade Flashwing being "green" and being available the week of St. Patricks' Day is a coincidence.
She'll be available sometime that week, and they plan on having plenty of stock for the next few weeks after that. This shouldn't be something you have a hard time finding if you plan on buying her in March.

I think it would be neat whoever gets it to do as a st patrick thing. Heck, maybe scarlet will come out for st Joesph's.

But how do you explain Stealth Elf, Sonic Boom (who is actually a MOTHER as well), Whirlwind (a unicorn hybrid who shoots out rainbows - she's not too pretty to get that rainbow dollar!), Hex and Cynder?

My point: They haven't been catering to the girl demographic anymore than the last game.
