I feel bad for the parents who have kids that are huge fans of Skylanders and Disney Infinity.

Also, yeah they may be somewhat ripping off the toys coming to life thing but I don't think the game itself is a ripoff of Skylanders.

It looks like Cars will be released as well at launch. Not too suprising considering its alternate playstyle and its heavy usage in the trailers. Hopefully they take inspiration from their very own Cars 2 The Videogame.

I may or may not depending on how the Cars characters play out in-game. If they are like The Incredibles, - OK! If they are like PotC, -O.....no.

I really don't like how the PotC looks compared to the other two starter pack play sets, hence I may just sell Cpt. Jack and not buy and PotC characters....

I actually recognize and can name all of these Disney characters, expect for two. Who the heck is that pointy-nosed kid next to Woody and that blue platypus with the ten gallon hat . I don't remember seeing any Disney movie with them in it :/.

^ Oh so it's a newer kid's show, okay thanks =)! I have never watched that cartoon, so that's most likely why I didn't know who they were. So they aren't only doing movie characters, then. I didn't see or notice, but are they going to do Winnie the Pooh characters and Chip and Dale?

True, but it's a TV movie however though, but I guess it did go on DVD.

Toys coming to life isnt new, its been around far before skylanders. the first i've known was UB funkeys, and that had a lot of rip offs before too. some rip offs were so unsuccessful that the starter pack was priced 75 cents at TRU. UB was pretty successful though.

i'm just saying, every "innovative" thing you see nowadays are rip offs of things from the past no one bothers to remember. ipads were rip-offs of microsoft tablets...

anyone else think that this new "rivalry" is like microsoft and apple? microsoft and skylanders make things that many people are a fan of, dominated the subject of focus. and give an industrial feeling. apple and infinity share the traits of a newcoming product that will build a large fanbase, be more or less "expensiver", add innovation to itself as it has studied its enemy product, and gives a sleeker "prettiness costs" feeling.

You prove an excellent point. Though I just find the Infinite Skylanders rivalry is like the Xbox 720 and the Playstation 4, you dont know very much about them,why think, oh this is better than that! If they are both inevitably going to be very similar!
