Skylanders rated M [CLOSED]

Who else would think it would be awesome if they made a skylander game rated M like with blood and gore and I know it wouldn't be good for business so maybe later like after a few more games were made. smilie I think it would be fun to see your favorite skylander rip apart an enemy with blood.

What is wrong with you?

Kidding, totally kidding. smilie

Skylanders actually was originally gonna have some blood in it, but it got cut a long time before the game was released.

I think it would've been a bit of a bad move for all the little kiddies out there, but all the melee characters should have had a "finisher" move to eradicate the weakened/final-of-a-group enemy.

eh, im an adult who loves a bit of hack and slashing...but in skylanders current style it just wouldnt suit, theyd need to change the entire visual design of the game for blood/gore to fit in

(something about a flying unicorn that shoots rainbows causing an explosion of blood/guts that is just wrong ;P )

No. And not because I have an issue with M content, I play games like that. But at the same time I play this game with my family so I wouldn't buy it if it had it in there. I like the fact there is no gore or blood. The story is cute, the characters are fun. They don't die. It's like the Lego games.

When I want blood I play Castlevania, Alice Madness Returns, The Witcher series or Pandora's Tower (when its released).

That might have been more appealing to me when I was a kid, but I've definitely outgrown the lame "blood and gore" thing.

I'm just saying later on in the franchise and it would appeal to their older fans. They could remake their designs and the story. smilie

It wouldn't appeal to older fans. Older fans don't care about having blood and gore, they just like things that are good and fun, regardless if it's "kiddy" or not.

The only appeal such a change would have is to people want to pretend they're mature by liking M Rated things no matter how bad it actually is.

Thank you. I cannot stand any gore and I cannot stand that people want games with tons of gore and why one would love to pollute things with that stuff.

They make one game in series rated M and the next thing you know, the series will gain a lot of controversy. Most parents would probably buy the game just because it has cartoonish/fantasy like characters on the cover and probably ignore the M-rating.

I wouldn't want to see Skylanders with bloody "finishing" moves. I like it how it is; my kids can play it without having nightmares afterward.

You make it sound like most parents pay attention to the ratings on video games already.

yeah maybe if acti kept with the diablo/bulders gate/ champions of norath style game. However after seeing the swap force game footage it is certian that skylanders is evolving into more of a platformer like sonic or mario. Im sure it will still have lots of guys to chop through but the game is clearly evolving into much more then a standard hack n slash. After a couple more games it may even have the same sort of depth as a LOZ (legend of zelda) game

Blood as in just less kiddy? Then sure, I'd love that.

Well if parents don't pick up it up, some organization will.
