Punch Pop Fizz definitely won't in the US (maybe in the Philippines). Gnarly most likely won't either.

Yeah, I really hate this concept. I can't get a variant just because I don't play on the system it's released for? Unless I'm mistaken, in SSA you could only get Dark Spyro with the 3DS version. I don't have a 3DS, don't need one, I play at home on my XBox. I COULD conceivably get the Wii version since I have a Wii, but that seems SO stupid to buy the game twice, to play on two systems!

I think Royal Double Trouble is also system-specific, isn't he? AND exclusive to one store?

This really isn't fair to players of other systems, especially in a game which has made such large and effective strides to be system-unspecific, since the characters work on any system.

That being said, I unfortunately can't see them releasing any of them alone. It would ruin the uniqueness of getting those variants for the people lucky enough to have done so. I COULD see an exclusive as being fair, but I doubt they would do that, they already have plenty of exclusive variants.

No, I just forgot what was the one country that sold Dark Spyro separately was. I think it was the Philippines but I could be wrong.

Gnarly Tree Rex actually comes with the full Wii system bundle. So if you already have a Wii you would be buying a second one just for Gnarly Tree Rex.

Royal Double Trouble is part of the iOS Skylanders Battlegrounds Starter pack for iPhones, iPods and iPads. So it's a completely new game that you would be buying but you can only play it on those Apple devices.

Yeah, that was it... I remember noticing that now. Even if I WANTED the Wii version, I still couldn't get it because I already have a Wii! And if I didn't, my Wii is the black one, I LOVE that it's black. I suspect the Skylanders one isn't, who's to say I'd prefer that one over the standard white? or the black, or the red?

Yeah, that one I knew. I know that it's also an exclusive to some store that I don't think we even have around here, in Canada. I saw the regular Battlegrounds pack last week in a store. I don't have ANY iDevices, so it's the usual problem I get with any iAccessories. I have an Android phone, it's also a smart phone, why is it always neglected? Actually I had heard the same about the 3DS SSA, that it's a different game so it's not redundant to get it. But I face the same problem: I have neither device! And I'm certainly not going to buy a 3DS or an iPad or an iPod just so I can buy and play Skylanders on another system! smilie

I had the same feelings about the hats in SSA, that each system had an exclusive hat. On the XBox I couldn't get the Wii's hat, or the 3DS's hat, or the PS3's hat, etc... I'm so glad they're now all included in Giants.

why not just buy them off eBay ok they're not exactly cheap but it is a lot cheaper doing that than buying a new game and console. i'm afraid that's the only way you'll get them on there own

Exclusives are exclusives. They should be exclusive to certain packs or stores. If exclusives are no longer exclusive, they're just called Skylanders.

So no, I think they should not be released in single packs, even though I'd like them.
Both of my little cousins have Punch Pop Fizz, but I'm completely fine with that, because they're the ones who bought the 3DS version. Hopefully I'll still get one though smilie

Doubtful. They were "exclusives" much like Granite Crusher. I discussed some of my disdain in the "Molten Hot Dog and Jade Flashwing" thread.

I suspect the Skylanders one isn't,

It's blue.

Not quite.... The Wii bundle is for North America and the PS3 is for Europe.

Kinda sucky because I'd rather get another PS3 than another pointless Wii.

Really? You know the Skylanders PS3 only has a 12 GB hard drive. That's maybe one game download lol.

I ended up getting the blue wii. I didnt want to cause i plan to get a wii u but i got it for a good price of near 100 after target sale and discounts. I needed a nunchuck and wii remote anyways, figuring that would cost like $60 or more alone. So for $40 i got a gnarly which is what they go on ebay, my son also takes the wii version with him to his grandparents to play on the wii there as its all they have cause they aint big on games, (my mother in law bought one for wii sports used a few yrs back and to watch netflix as she very anti-computer)
