I actually accidentally found him on my own, lucky I liked the look of the Dragon Engine the best, LOL!

Never noticed that on the fly by he's waving outside, though I've rarely done it so that explains THAT.

He has no hats when I talk to him.
Never talked to him before so it might be glitched for me.

Actually that seems weird... Usually he only has no hats when you have them all (meaning you've visited him before and bought them all)... Is is possible someone else used your system, found him and bought all his hats? Check the hats you have, are there several gaps?

No one has access to my Xbox. I am missing quite a few hats. I can talk to him and he opens the shop menu, but it's just empty lol.

Well, when I talk to him now he's empty now, too, LOL! But that's because I bought all his hats, that's why. For me.

Okay, here's a test. Try to change to the Straw Hat. In the hat grid, it's on the first row, it's the fourth "column" (with column #1 being No Hat). The Straw Hat comes from Hatterson, if you have it then somehow or other you have Hatterson's hats.

Actually, here's a list of his hats and where they are in the Hat Grid:
Straw Hat - R1C04
Pan Hat - R1C12
Miner Hat - R2C02
Lil Devil - R2C09
Flower Hat - R2C15
Vintage Baseball Cap - R2C16
Coonskin Cap - R3C03
Bone Head - R3C06
Jester Hat - R3C10

I know I do have some of those. Which leads me to believe that Hatterson is just there with extra hats in case you didn't find them while playing.
Because I definitely didn't get the Lil' Devil hat from him since I didn't even know you could talk to him until a month ago lol.

No, pretty sure I got three stars and emptied out Auric's stores on all levels before I ever found him. Or at least I found all the hats. These hats are only available from him.

No, Batterson is the chef, this is Hatterson. I think when you first meet him he declares himself to be Batterson's brother or something, LOL!
