Current project: Post Apocalyptic Drobot. Will be finished off with rust, worn finish, and an nuclear symbol on the back portion that glows. This is about 25% complete, but figured I'd do an update of what I was busy with.

Yeah, i have a bluetooth portal, too, and i was wondering what to paint it like. Maybe metallic blue/green?

do a metallic black with the green scuffs like a done way my portal in silver and grey to make it look like a moss green portal for life skylanders lol

Well Legendary Whisper Elf has officially been started. Here's a pic in progress. Interestingly the Legendary Blue is definatly different between L Trigger Happy and L Stealth Elf. The picture looks like its black but in person its a very good match to the blue, i'll be playing with the color a bit more.

Yea Ill have the blue just right by the time its done. The L Trigger Snappy I did was perfect color match. Snappy and Happy have a green tint to them. Stealth Elf has no green tint at all. Its a completely different shade of blue. I test the colors by painting small areas on the original figures to match the paint.

yeah, i had to totally paint my trigs white to make a specific paint actually be the color i want it to be.

yup, i saw it when you first posted it, the colors are the EXACT same.

The whisper elf has an added diifficulty because the eyes glow in the dark so gotta take extra precautions with the face. Im also tring to keep the original eyebrow.

I got a bunch of extra s1 figs i'd love to paint.

I just got some thin brushes and acrylic paint and matte finish spray at Walmart and a starter acrylic paint set from amazon... nothing really special

i use.............acrylics, but my older ones were from testors, which you're not supposed to use. i just got the primaries, green, black, and white besides metallics for arylics.

I think the real thumpy should have been a killer whale, killer whale > thumpback whale. that is prolly the best custom ive ever seen maybe not for detail but being cooler than original

^ I agree because humpback whales are baleen whales, meaning that they don't have teeth, but they use baleen to filter out water from their mouths so they can swallow their catch. Orca's aren't true whales, they are in the dolphin family, but it would still be neat if they did a play on words with the term, killer whale.

I took too long doing the killer whale one. It was my original plan to do a Thumpback as a Orca/Killer Whale as I am from the Northwest and we have them out here. Looks great. Glad someone took the time to do one. It's the obvious choice for a repaint. So many customizers now, it's bound to happen that someone will paint the ideas we originally came up with. I still have a guy on ebay copying my Zombee Swarm and selling a lousy repaint of what I did for 40 dollars. *shakes head*

^ I know what you mean, I'm in the same area X). We are also know for our Northern Spotted Owls, Great Blue Herons, and of course, fresh wild salmon. I'm thinking of painting one of the bird-like Skylanders with the color scheme of a Great Blue Heron, and one as a Northern Spotted Owl =). As my name suggests, I'm also a huge fan of Ospreys, so I might choose that as my inspiration instead.

I haven't seen your Zombee Swarm yet, are you able to link it?

Here they are. Sorry guys for kinda the "repost" of them. This is the 2nd edition of Zombee Swarm done in Green with damaged antennae and bullet holes in his chest and deep cuts. I was fairly pleased with how he turned out.

I may still very well do a version of an Orca for Thumpback as I have an extra set now. And I am doing a Batman edition of Eye Brawl. I am also currently working on a Gizmoduck version of Bouncer for someone. And also working on a swap out of Royal Double Trouble to have a repainted version of the series 2 Double Trouble, and then repaint him to mimic the in game version, but with metallic paints.

^ Very nice job =)! I love how you made the base cloud silver, and all of the color scheme choices work well together.

Good luck on your future creations, The metallic Double Trouble and the Gizmoduck Bouncer sound cool. I can't wait to see how they turn out.
