Reserved Thumpback and Eyebrawl today at Argos. Spent a lunchtime going there, refused the sale for some reason - waited 20 minutes to be finally told it was 'illegal to sell them before the 15th February'. I asked why I was able to reserve the items and she had been told they head office were aware of the situation but she'd been told they 'didn't want to take the availablilty off the system as they'd only have to put it back on again in a few days time'.....

Thought I'd share in case I can save anyone else a wasted journey - at the very least call the store first.

Must be for a store event, because if it was illegal, Game over there wouldn't be selling them, nor would anyone in the US. It must be an enforced street date for that store only, most likely because they have plans for Skylanders that week. That, or they're just dumb.

I'd go with dumb. I've been selling them since the end of Jan and had stock from 2 different suppliers with no mention of NDAs or street dates.

You can still reserve them now but just says order to pick up on 12-14 February

I sent them a complaint this afternoon, to be fair they phoned me within 10 minutes and apologised and said she was trying to arrange that date to be added to the description. She was very polite and explained that it was an agreement they had in place with their suppliers that was legally binding and I wasn't the first to complain today!

Wave 3's out in the UK now, just picked up s2 Stealth Elf, Prism Break, Eruptor and Lightning Rod, and the Scorpion Striker battle pack. from Gravesend Game. Also got Thumpback and Eye Brawl from there the other week too. S2 Cynder was also there, all that's left is Lightcore Shroomboom then.

Reserved an Eye-Brawl from Argos, I plan to go get it tomorrow.

We got eye brawl and Thumpback last week from game. Just ordered the Scorpion striker pack from game tonight. Also they are doing three for two on single figures. Just got re-poses of stump smash, flameslinger and Lightening Rod. Roll on next Tuesday.

What I said when Argos listed them around 25th Jan I said when ...? - With Game 'importing' Giants it's obviously been made earlier than 22nd IE 15th - but I was told it could move that was why I said 3-4 weeks.

It seems they have blown the embargo on the others as well, and many have simply followed suit.

Perhaps we'll be made to wait a little longer than planned for Wave 4 in the UK ?

GAME were selling the UK English versions of the products. Since buying mine I have since recycled my packaging, but they were UK pegged (with the funny sideways 3 shape). I've seen previous EU packages while abroad and they had a lot more languages on the back.

I just bought the Scorpion Striker at GAME in Bath

It's in Game in London but I spend £2 extra and got it from GameStop.co.uk a couple of days ago. Now just need LC Shroomboom to complete wave 3

Well you can trust me or otherwise that's your choice (the UK official release date was supposed to be 15th Feb or 22nd of Feb) . Retailer have broken the embargo - Argos Tesco and many others have not.

But it doesn't really matter, they are out there now and I never denied that (Game have had giants for about 2 weeks).

Struggling retailers (like those who have been in administration last year) are desperate to make money - who can blame them!

But just wait and see who gets the exclusives in the future. Unless Act are not that bothered - lets face it they don't want game shops to close do they?

Hmmmm...I get Skylanders from 2 of Activisions official distributors. If there was a street date on Wave 3 then:

1. They would not have got them from Activision so early.
2. They would not have shipped them to me and numerous other indy retailers and risked Acti's wrath.
3. The boxes would have been dated like the boxes were for Wave 1.

Have a look at my pic on page 2 of the thread to see the Wave 3 box clearly showing no date. It's normally in the top left corner.

That was the point I was trying to make, if there was a "no sell before x date" it would be marked on the boxes. I have no idea what information Slightly is getting to justify this supposed embargo

How are people getting on finding Wave 3 in the UK? My local Game store had all wave 3 including the scorpion striker pack but keeps selling out

I've been holding out for TRU to get wave 3 (employee discount) but only seen TB and EB giants so far and such limited quantities they sell out on the delivery dates. Have been told to expect all of wave 3 within a week now though :-)

Both Game and TRU have a buy 2 get one free sale at the moment too

my local massive tesco extra is still freakin' trying to get rid of wave 1 !!!

I need to check tomorrow to see if they've got any of the Wave 3 S2s. The Giants and the Scorpion Striker Pack have had plenty of time out now.

Am just waiting for shroomboom he should be out this week according to Argos. Game and Argos has all the waves 3s in stock near me.

i have three thumpback and three eyebrawl one of each have been customised one of each i use in game and the other two are still in packs

^ update, my very large Tesco Extra had virtually no skylanders at all, so ordered Lightcore Shroomboom to collect at store Saturday

Eye brawl/thumpback are part of wave 3 they was out ages ago in some shops. I Got mines back in January from Game. The rest of wave from came out more recently, With the latest being Lightcore Shroomboom who is out in Tesco and Smyths that I've seen so far.

As for Light Hex no news on her maybe be still a long way for her.
