...holding back with Thumpback and Hot Head for my little one. I bought them a few weeks ago with Eye Brawl with the intention of saving them both for Easter...as how cool would an Easter basket be with Thumpback on one side, Hot Head on the other and a nice stack o' candy in the middle? But...they call to me from our closet. Like the Tell-tale Heart. Thump Thump...Thump Thump....Thump Thump....Play with us....Plaaaayyyy with us....

Funny thing is I've had this Voltron set (I LOVED Voltron as a kid) in my closet for years now ready to unleash one special Christmas/Birthday down the line but for fear of destruction by the little ones. I have had no problem sitting on it...Actually, just now with this post did I think of it for the first time in the longest time. Must be something about whales...

Oh god, I just realized that the figures I don't frequently play with have been trapped in their plastic bodies for quite some time, and have merely gotten a glimpse of their original world.
...I am a horrible person.

Anyways, try to stick it out, and keep yourself from even thinking about playing using them. Your kid's reaction will be worth it.

Heroic challenge would pop up...and they would be on the list of skylanders...My kid would realize right away-or I'd need to pull of some serious mind meld magic. It has crossed my mind though...LOL

I completely upgraded my Sonic Boom in SSA without unpackaging her,

And there IS a workaround: Only the first game they're played in TAKES the ownership and thus the Heroic Challenge and joining the list of owned Skylanders. Start a new game, let it take ownership, then you could use them in your original game as much as you want... If you REALLY want to be sneaky, you might be able to delete the new save game (not sure if the Skylander games have the sense to include the ability to delete old save games). If you can't, maybe a new profile THEN a new save game, delete the profile after.

Sorry, I had to do this. I remember another topic with this in it.

I did the same thing last year with the late SSA releases. This year, as soon as I found the Hot Dog pack and the Eye Brawl and Thumpback packs, I just gave them to him. He was just as excited as getting them for Easter.

There should be some more toys out by Easter. I say go with your gut and let your kid Hail to the Whale!

I swear, this is the first I've ever heard of giving something on Easter besides chocolate/candy, LOL!
