The logo doesn't advertise this as a Nuremberg exclusive, so maybe these are being handed out at the NY Toy Fair, despite the pegging style.

It's just a preference if you want one or not depending on how much of a hardcore collector you are. This game continues to make that task very difficult.

Very nice indeed. If this is indeed the NY Toy Fair variant, I wonder what the Nuremberg variant will be.

I put the over/under is on the first eBay auction for this variant at 5 days (Feb 10th). Which do you think it will be under 5 days or over 5 days?

It may be they used the same type for the fair. Although I can't think why...

It just says "Toy Fair Exclusive" without a location. It's my guess that this will be for both venues. I received one at the press conference, but haven't checked the hook to see if it is "European style".

Zap's pic and matt's pic look different. Not just in the box, but the actual fig. Or maybe it's just at a different angle? But the 1st one has more spikes on the shield and the posture is different. The shade of blue can be explained away with lighting. I dunno. It just looks different. Let's wait for GM to get both so we can properly compare.

The shade is definitely the lighting and probably quality of the pic. I took mine with an ipod touch, just so i could get it out here quickly. Once thing I notice - and maybe it's a European thing - is that Chop Chop is facing almost head on in my package, whereas he look to be turned a bit in the Euro packaging.

Actually, strike that. Zap's pic is out of the packaging, so it's probably the way it is sitting on the package that turns it a bit and makes it look different.

He does show up as "Special", at level 5 with 2100 gold.

So would you say that the paint color is a metallic blue? If so, it's interesting that last year NY Toy Fair had a metallic purple Cynder and this year a metallic blue Chop-Chop. I personally still LOVE the metallic color of Cynder and it looks to be equally impressive on this Chop-Chop! Thanks for the info!

So,

I have a friend going to the toy fair with a product they are going to display. I'm going to ask them if they could pick me up the blue chop chop and possibly ninjini. However, how would he go about acquiring them? Do you just go to their booth and ask for it? Do you have to pay for it? Any advice here would be greatly appreciated.

They would go to the skylanders booth/display, sit through the demo, and get a fig.

As for the other comments/questions about the swag bag, it had the chop chop, a USB drive, a t-shirt, and the dog tags. The Ninjini is from the TRU event, a block away.

Haha. That is pretty ridiculous. I could see it selling for a couple hundred MAYBE. Even that would make it the most expensive figure there is. No way it fetches this kind of price.

Press Release, Fact Sheet, Screen shots, character pics, and the official Logo. I didn't open the tags yet, but I doubt they're any different than the ones at retail.
