Does anyone know a quick way to complete this quest with Lightning Rod? (Skylooter is the quest where you collect 500 gold in midair.)

Since LR lacks a "flight" mode the best thing to do is to play through Level 15 with him and go in both the water and fire gates. The fire one especially has a part where you fall down off the side along a trail of treasure. It takes a bit longer than most of the other Air Skylanders, but it can be done.

As for the thread topic itself.... I'm still working on this one myself. I'm at around 350 at the moment. I agree that the Fire Gate in (I think) Level 15, (I think) Lost City Of Arkus is an excellent place. I think the frozen level where you meet the Machine Ghost, Glacier Plains or something, I noticed THAT Fire Gate also has some bouncy pad coin columns.

Also I noticed the level where you have to enter Kaos' castle halfway through the level, I want to say Troll Home Security, something like level 9 or so, at the beginning and just before you get in are several such bouncy pads. The level I'm speaking about, when you first get to the front gate you have a bigger fight, including an introduction to that mirage robot who duplicates himself into explosive decoys. Then you can talk to your first Wilikin outside of Wilikin Isles-whatever, then go off to the left to the emptied pool to push around some bouncy pads to cross the pool.

Also the Aerial Assault level, if you board the ghost ship (instead of returning to the turret like Flynn is bugging you to) and take the Giant Drop, you find a water gate. Entering it and taking the teleporter, at the end of this area are a couple of bouncy pads with money. Not much, but every little bit helps.

I SO love that I read the tip about flying Air Skylanders into the vault! Did it with a few and got "Skylooter: 150/500", "Skylooter: 250/500", "Skylooter: Complete" pop up so fast back-to-back, it was almost at the same time! Heh. It's just unfortunate that Lightning Rod can't fly.

i cant remember the chapter...i believe its called 'chaos's castle' but you start outside the castle and the first part of the entire level is going up 3-4 bounce pads..each have about 5-10 gold to collect as you go up, sure its not much..but its easy to constantly reset the level after collecting the coins and doing it again till youre done
