Is this toy hard to find like Eye Brawl/Thumpback? I brought my kid to Walmart and Target this morning...Nothing...and now do a search online and see...nothing...(Well, 'cept some toy reseller that wants 23 bucks for him...when my understanding is he goes for 12) ???

Will I find more luck at Best Buy or Toys R Us?

I had a hard time finding him as well locally. I ended up getting him on Amazon for the regular price. They seem to get new shipments in on a regular basis and are eligible for free shipping if you spend $25 or more.

I would say probably TRU, however in my area (Iowa) they have been slacking on get anything new in. From what I have seen on here Wal-Marts are hit and miss, depends on where you live. The Wal-Mart in my local town has not had anything new since before Christmas. However, other wal-marts are full of stock. I would just keep looking.

My local Walmart probably still has them on the shelf. They got a huge shipment of LightCore boxes the other day, and the pegs were loaded with them. Even as picked over as they were when I was shopping, there were at least five to seven LC Shroomies. Although, that would also mark the very first time since the December 21st TRU event that I had seen this figure on a shelf. So, despite this incident at Walmart, I would definitely say the figure is on the rare side. He comes and goes on Amazon, and store-wise, I've only heard of sightings at Walmart, TRU and GameStop, the latter two of which have also had it on their websites periodically. He's not quite what Hot Head was immediately following the launch of the game, but you'll need a little luck.

EDIT: Actually, I know you said you had already checked your Walmart, but it's pretty likely they all got the same shipment I'm describing. It usually happens this way. If there aren't any on the shelf, and no other LightCore boxes have the little stickers on them (stickers meaning they shipped with Shroomy), then it's a good bet that they have boxes full of them in the back that they haven't stocked yet. Maybe ask if they can check the back for boxes marked as a LightCore assortment. If they don't want to, explain that LightCores are a different product than regular figures and there are none on the shelves. That usually motivates them to at least pretend to look.

I found like five of him at walMart

I wonder if TFB and Activision underestimated how popular he would be. The other lightcores so far seem to be sitting on the shelf. Since he was already released as a regular newlander they may have thought that he wouldn't be as popular as he is. Not sure. Just a thought.

I got him on GameStop.com but I haven't seen him since Dec. 21st in a store

Saw them for the first time on the 24th of December when people said they saw them at TRU. I snagged one then. It wasn't until about a week or 2 ago that I finally saw a few of them on the shelves at one Walmart store.

They should be getting more in though. Tash is right- if you don't see the new stickers, ask if they'll check in the back. I believe they were up on Gamestop's website a little while ago as well.

We just bought ours at Walmart this afternoon. They had 1-2 left. First time we've seen it since it came out.

Got mine at Target a couple of days ago. They had a ton at Walmart yesterday.

Ouch...He's all over the place in regular fashion with that 3 pack...but since he's not backwards compatible to SSA (and Son and I both agree lighting up is cool) I figure we can wait and see rather than fold and buy the regular one.

For those of you that are bargain hunters...The FYE had buy 1 get 1 50% off and a large amount of the released 3 packs as well (Not Hot Dog one before you ask)...6 skylanders for $37.50 isn't that bad. Not JC Penney right after christmas buttons awesome...but not bad either.

Gamestop also had the Hot Dog 3 pack...but my kid wasn't interested....nor was he in Zook...or Lightning Rod...or Pop Fizz....LOL...Something about mushrooms I guess.

Oh, and the misinformation train came into station at my stop at Best Buy...The individual working there informed me that the Lightcore characters were specific to stores and Best Buy didn't get LC Shroomboom...Yet lo and behold:

My guess is it was an honest mistake and he just mistook the lightcores for the legendaries or other specific releases...but nonetheless...Do your homework before shopping.

He's missing out imo. Hot Dog is a fun character [hello, bags of exploding pooh... haha] & it comes with Zap who is also pretty sweet. The rest you listed were just meh to me though.

Light shroomy is hard to find because he is a newlander and parents (like myself) can't spennd the 25 for the battle pack just to get him. As it stands now I hate myself for spending the 25 for the battle pack for hot dog, but my son really wanted him and I could not get it from anyone (at the time) if hot dog was gonna be a single.

I would say ive never seen one, but on friday at a target I found 3. I never go to this one cause its not really near where i work or live. I was out there visiting my grandmothers grave and figured id take the longer way home and hit the walmart and target on the way. Walmart nothing, Target nothing but 3 of these. I still however cant find a slambam for the life of me, Ive had 3 gamestops tell me hes easy to find and then when I tell them ive been looking for 3 weeks at like 20 stores they are in shock.

Skylanders Dad..I have seen him in Target and Walmart...sometimes at TRUS...try calling your ToysRUS in morning and have them check and hold one for you...good luck

Any UK sightings? Have no TRUs or game stores near me(apart from Game and Gamestation) and I checked Amazon and Argos and no stock or price. Anything?
