I am looking for a spot in giants where I can see chill and thumpback's swimming animation, is there any spot where skylanders can swim in this game?

Apparently you can swim in the ice level. I dunno

I have never seen any water so far in giants, but I'll let you know if I find some

Well if you have the pirate seas pack you can go swim in there. Other than that i dont think you can

Wham-Shell, Eruptor, Slam Bam, and a few others have Heroic Challenges with water in them.

Chill's animation is just her levitating, while Thumpback has a MUCH better one.

Yeah I just tried both of them, chill's is lameish but I love thumpback's, I was playing around with him in the water for like 10 minutes lol

If anyone is wondering what Thumpback's animation is;

He dives headfirst into the water, and puts his legs together like fins. He starts swimming like a whale.

I accidentally fell off a cliff in tree rex's challenge into some water and i was so amazed at his swimming thing, plus you can use blowhard by pressing attack 1 and shoot starfish out of the blowhole by pressing attack 2

I still no have thumpback DX

Just got Thumpback yesterday, returing and rebuying so I can get my last sidekick Whisper Elf. Can't wait to see his swimming animation!

That's a lame thing to do.

His swimming is really cool. Just his blowhole sticks out.

I just realized there's no swimmable water in the normal chapters, making Stump Smash's Soul Gem Power utterly useless! When it was already rarely useful.

^Not just Stump Smash's, but also Slam Bam's.

Also, there's a little bit of swimmable water in Dragon's Peak near a Treasure Chest.
Not much, but I'm pretty sure it's there.

yeah when I first got thumpy in water I lol for like a min his swimming animation is awesome they totally missed a great water level using him.

Can anyone post a video of it? I just can't seem to picture him swimming w/ these descriptions......
I don't own Thumpback and my cousin currently has my Giants game, so I'd have to wait a couple more weeks even if I had bought Thumpy.....

Their is a heroic challenge that you can buy in the game that is surrounded with water. That is where i swim with people. Thumpbacks swimming is so awesome.

Yeah that, I forgot the name.

Slam Bam's HC immediately starts off next to water. It's "Chemical Cleanup".

I know there are several HCs with water... All the ones in the dungeon, the dungeon has a bit of a lake in it (for example, the 8 Giant Spiders one, the camera is different, but one is standing in a U-Turn dead end that ends in a teleporter. Also the Purple Chompies one, about halfway you have to choose between going into a square room with four green, down a hall with only purples, or down a slope to get like 2 greens, beyond which is a U-turn - the same one - where around the turn is only purple ones). The tropical islands HC location also has a few opportunities. And of course Pirate Seas has plenty.

Which is why I specified the "normal" levels. All of these only have swimming because they were designed for SSA, which includes swimming sometimes. I guess they decided it wasn't right that there were areas only water guys and flying guys could go, which is a point (and Stump Smash with his Soul Gem power). If you don't have these people, you can't see these areas.

Still, with a whale character to try, this sucks. It's not like we can take him into SSA to go swimming.

Now that I HAVE Thumpback, and am taking him through Heroic Challenges, I noticed two excellent examples, HCs that EVERYBODY has, or can have, no matter what.

One is unassigned, the owner profile pic is a key, so I got it either by buying from Auric or it's the free one. You have to grab 75 gems from a series of islands. What's more is that there are paths designed for characters who can traverse water.

The other is Tree Rex's (and of course everyone has Tree Rex), S.A.B.R.I.N.A., saving the capybara's singing lizards (geckos?). There's no use to it, but there are a couple of ponds you can swim in.

I find Thumpback's swimming to actually be rather dull, except that like a whale he stays mostly underwater. But he's an unmoving lump, no feet paddling, nothing. This could have been better. He also doesn't seem to have an attack. For the gems one I had to swim up to the boats, at which point he would climb aboard, breaking them. One attack spits something out of his blowhole, but it doesn't appear to have any effect, it's just cute.
