hi peeps just to let you all know that the eurogamers expo is at londons earl court on the 26th-29th of september 2013 skylanders makers activision blizzard will be there.

now i didnt or have never been to this just wondering if anyone on here has been last year and if they were doing exclusive skylanders figures or not so i know if its worth goin or not cheers.

Well, they gave away that Pearl Hex at a toy fair in Germany. If memory serves, there was another toy fair in or near Germany that they gave away the Dark Spyro single pack.

I wouldn't say bet on it, because they'll probably be there only to show off some other new game. Case in point, Comic Con would have been perfect to show off Skylanders and they instead showed off some new avengers game or something.

Best to check out the schedule there and see what's happening. If there's a number, perhaps call and ask if they're showing Skylanders in particular or what. By then, we can probably assume that the next Skylanders game will be coming out within the month afterwards so there probably wouldn't be anything really *new* to show off.

I remember calling them about being at PaxPrime. Guess what? There was only the tiny 3ds giants booth OUTSIDE the main hall! Other than that, they were absentee. I hope you have better luck with getting them though.

well hopefully theres something bigger this year as im planning on going for the four days just to check it all out hopefully they are giving or selling a rare figure by the way what is legendary se on your signature

They were there last year and the year before, but Skylanders wasn't there. If memory serves me correctly, in 2011 they just had CoD as their main focus and in 2012 they had CoD and WoW as their main focus.

Skylanders were not present at the last two eurogamer expo events so I doubt they will be this year. Acti-blizz are more bothered about Call Of Duty at events like this.

GAMEfest on the other hand was my first experience of Skylanders, and possibly that may return this year.

It's the Giants Legendary 3-pack. Sorry, I thought I'd separated them properly but i guess it's still confusing?

Activision isn't even listed, nor is Blizzard in the WHOLE DIRECTORY of my PAXPrime 2012 booklet. I checked and double checked. Maybe you meant PaxEast? They may have been there. I wish they'd come here. All I can think is, they dun goofed.

I was at Eurogamer during the summer and they had NOTHING Skylanders at the event. There was also nothing at The Gadget Show in December. There might be something at the various Toys Fairs during the year, but I wouldn't expect anything.

If memory serves me right the only exclusive figure we've had in the UK is the Arena Tour Dark Spyro which was part of a larger European tour.

Yeah, Buzz is spot on, I believe someone at Acti told me it wasn't the demographic they were going for. Which seems ridiculous to me, but these events all cost marketing money and it seems they spent it all on the tour this year. This year will be interesting as they need to compete with Disney Infinity for hearts and minds now.

completely agree dude on the competeing thing with disney a reckon it will apeal more to the younger side of people rather than the older ones as lets face it am 30 years old can you imagine me sitting playing with cinderella and snow white figures so i reckon activision will be hit hard on the child sector of the market

Oops! Sorry about that! I wasn't trying to hijack the thread or anything, but I figured if they didn't do anything for a convention as big and influencial as Pax, they might not for that one too. But of course, they seem to always have something for Toy Fair and E3, the "professional" conventions.
