That is one awesome looking Eyebrawl, I seriously love the addition of the bronze to it's colour scheme. I could actually see that being one of those fancy new monsters in that Bioshock Infinite game with those colours. Maybe that's just me though haha.

Thanks guys. To answer the questions. Let me dig up links for you guys. Deco Art for the gold is the brand. You can get it from Home Depot apparently online.

I use a coat of that using a nice square flat fine hair brush, the wider the better. I keep brushing it smooth till it dries. I used 3 coats to get full coverage. Then on top of that I brushed on Craftsmart brown metallic that I know you can get at Michaels. I recommend purchasing all of their metallics as they are not high gloss metallic.

As for achieving the bronze color, mix the gold, with some watered down black and the brown metallic till you find that bronze color you want. Apply it as the last coat on top of the gold and brown base coats to get the bronze effect. I tried to get the cracks to pop with gold paint that I wiped away after, but went back in with a fine brush to make em pop out a little more. I am still not done with him.

As for if he's for sale. I haven't decided yet. As with him being so scarce, I am in the process of trying to find at least 2 more (1 for me and 1 for my nephew) this one had been intended for my collection, but I suppose I could put it out there for purchasing if it is that badly wanted.

I am not looking for a bidding war on it. Send me a PM if you want it and I'll see what I can do. I'm always happy to repeat the process if multiple people want them.

As for the look I was going for, I wanted it to look more like a bronze helm that protects the eye. I debated painting the eye. I also debated drilling out the eye and cutting a colored lense to insert that would glow that color...still trying to decide how to finish this out. Will add pics soon

you're not going to add an eye to the eye brawl?

No...I don't feel it's needed. Sometimes the lack of details are better than adding them. I debated it, then decided to keep it as it was. I see it more as a helmet similar to something like that of master chief where there is some mystery...maybe there is a tiny little man inside Eye Brawl that is controlling the entire body as if it was a mech. And no, this isn't a copout answer. You all know I could easily paint the details in.

These were all done for friends. I actually gave the Eruptor away for free. I don't do this to make money. It's for fun. I actually only charge the cost of the figure to buy, and the shipping cost...usually around 15 for normal figures and 25 for the Giants.



I'm not that egotistical that I would ask exhorbitant amounts of money for something I do for fun and love to do.

I know this isnt exactly the best place to put it but it's the only place i can think of. I bought the sprocket three pack today and when i got her out of the pack i noticed she has a big sploge of blue paint on her face. What is the best brand and colour paint to use to go over and make her hole face gold? Thanks.

Any chance we could do that Philadelphia Eagles-themed Jet-Vac that we talked about some time back? Also, that black and red Jet-Vac is absolutely stunning!

I would use testors gold oil based enamel, but you have to also buy enamel thinner/brush cleaner too, or your brush will be unusable.

Thanks @X-Treme. I ended up useing an old warhammer 4000 gold paint i had from years ago. worked well enough to cover a small dot. Really want to try custom-ing now :3

Azure, I haven't forgotten about that one. It's in the works, my intention was to send it to you when it was finished as a surprise. I get a lot of requests, but I also get a lot of real life stuff that gets in the way. When I did the Falcons one, they were in the playoffs. If they Eagles hadn't been sucking, I'd have done them. I have an extra that will be painted Eagles probably by mid month as I am on vacation tomorrow thru the 4th out of town. I am still amazed at how many requests I still get for these. I can't paint em quick enough apparently.

X-Treme NEVER USE ENAMEL on plastic. It never cures properly and eats the paint...or will stay tacky pretty much forever. The gold I showed above works really well for her face color.

Ok, but the color wont wear off, will it? I have my ignitor done in all enamel and it is doing pretty good.

xtreme. If you want to insure it won't wear off, just spray your figure with a matte finish krylon spray. It puts a sheen over it that isn't shiny and makes it more durable.

yeah, i did that to stop prism break and cynder's glitter from coming off.

Wow, thank you so very much. Take all the time you need; I'm just thrilled to know it's still somewhere on your radar. The reason you "can't paint em quick enough" is because how casual, friendly, and talented you are!

People often tend to forget, you don't become an artist to be famous. If you do, then you are doing it for the wrong reasons. Admiration is a great thing and can be a motivator, but fame and fortune is not something artists should strive for. The term starving artist is there for a reason. I have a normal job with some art tied into it and my home life is where my art is accomplished. I have found art more exciting than gaming lately. Anyways, yes, be on the lookout for more from me in February.

And I do come to this thread daily to look at everyone's work and ideas. It's great to see all the creativity in here. If you're just starting out, don't be afraid to snap a photo of it and put it up. We all love seeing em!
