to stop the panic. This was a product test part. It is real only in the sense they tested the electronics and the paint on it. It does not function in game, nor was it ever on a store shelf. Some people get factory rejects or prototypes. That is exactly what this is. In reality, the value of this figure is much more than that of the real thing. As a collector, I'd rather have a prototype than the real thing.

Nice score on it. I debated buying it myself. Prototypes are always worth more as most are destroyed and not sold. But some will slip off the factory floor or fall in the hands of someone working there before being thrown out.

Ah, so the eyes do light up? Neat. Looks like the base isn't super bright though..hope that'll be better on the actual released version.

1. This isn't a real Skylander, it's either a beta Skylander in which case its components most likely aren't the same as a retail Skylander, it's a factory reject or a good fake.


2. It's not supposed to be released yet, they will not fix something that shouldn't be out in the wild.

It may not be an easy fix even when this is actually released if they have a way of knowing what this is. Perhaps a different number on the base or different components altogether.

If you mean a printed-in-black number, she does NOT have one.

i've taken apart a lot of skylanders, this is a very easy fix.

it would be a simple matter of opening the base from one on general release and opening the base on this early release one and swapping over the base internals. if you haven't done it before and wanted to make a good clean job it would take no more than 30 minutes ... no specialist tools required either.

It's a prototype model, it is not capable of functioning like a real figure. In fact it's possible it doesn't even have the chip in it.

Also, according to Chris at Toys For Bob, the Ninjini IS an early factory version, meaning Activision didn't like the design on this one.

Out of curiosity, how tall is Ninjini? See seems to be the tallest Giant and I'm getting worried she may not fit in my display shelves

Wich color is the light from the "tail" is it like LC jet vacs and the dragonfire cannon?

She's pretty tall, she dwarfs Tree Rex! About the same size as Swarm (arm included).

Her tail lights up blue, like Jet-Vac. In the dark, it almost looks like it changes color!

I asked him once, but he didn't answer. Man, anytime I get a hold of stuff early, I always think ahead and post the types of pics people would like. I would have already had size comparison pics, pics of all sides of all sides of Ninjini, and if she worked, an analysis of her moves.

What I would like to know is does it work in Battle grounds (cus that game does not read all of the data on the chip only the data that identifys what skylander it is) and all of the skylanders are in battle grounds (if you put the skylander on the portal the coming soon sign leaves).
