I am a little confused wondering if someone can help. I am new to the game and collecting, I have Giants for xbox 360. I want to get Spyro's Adventure for either Wii or 3DS. My question is this:

If I get the 3DS version of Spyro's Adventure with the 3 figures, can those 3 figures Stealth Elf, Dark Spryo ect be used in Giants on my xbox 360?

Is there a difference between Dark Spyro and Spryo?

Is the 3DS version of the Spryro's Adventure game the same as the console versions?

The figures work on all versions of the game. The 3ds versions are different, in their entirety, than the console version.

I'm sorry I am not following.. the 3DS version of the game or the figures are different? Sometimes handhelds have a different storyline, I am just wondering if the game itself is the same as the console versions? If I buy the 3DS version of the game will I also have to buy the Wii or xbox 360 version of the game too because it's a different story?

Or do you mean the Dark Spyro figure is different from Spyro figure fighting style?

all the figures will work on all consoles buddy the only difference between the 3ds figures and the xbox 360, wii, ps3, ios and pc versions are:

1. skylanders spyros adventures you get a dark spyro figure.

2. skylanders giants you get a punch pop fizz figure.

these two figures are exclusive to the 3DS versions of the game all figures fron skylanders spyros adventures will work on giants but giants will not work on spyros adventures hope this helps dude.

The figures work on every platform. Giants and the new figures introduced in Giants only work in Giants. The 3DS titles are completely different games from their console counterparts.

I only noticed a difference in Dark Spyro's fireball colors in the console version of Giants (I don't recall it being that way in the console of SA).

Dark spyro on 3ds is way cooler than the home console counterpart.

3ds version are both really funny, more platform style than the home version. U can even double jump.

Only things i dont like is that the 3ds version is not really portable. U need the portal to switch toys and u can do that only on the hub not during a level. But i will raccomend both ssa and giants even if u get a duplicate portal this way.

Not only that but his playstyle is different in the 3DS versions. He's more aggressive IMO.

Okay, just to warn you, in all versions of Spyro's Adventure the following characters (and all variants of them) won't work:
Giants: Tree Rex, Bouncer, Swarm, Crusher, Eye Brawl, Ninjinni, Hot Head, and Thumpback
Regular: Shroomboom, Sprocket, Jet-Vac, Flashwing, Fright Rider, Pop Fizz, Hot Dog, and Chill
Items: Dragonfire Cannon, Scorpion Striker, Giants Sidekicks

In all versions of Giants, though, every figure will work. They aren't console specific, either.

Thank you Orohu! I knew about the Giants not working with SA but not the sidekicks, so Whisper Elf will not work on Adventure?

Whisper Elf, Gill Runt, Terrabite, and Trigger Snappy will work in Spyro's Adventure
Barkley, Eye Small, Minijinni, and Thumpling, however, will not.

Ok the 3ds version of both Giants and Spyro's Adventure are compleatly difrent from the home versions, The story line is difrent in (you even fight a difrent villen), so to play thru the hole story you would have to buy (skylanders giants for both home system and 3ds and skylanders Spyro's Adventure for both home system and 3ds) so to see all of the storys you would have to buy 4 games. But the toys (skylanders) are the same (you can use the same skylander toy on any system that has a skylanders game as long as that skylandre is in that game.) Hope this helps.

You know, even though I'm Team Nintendo when it comes to portable, I hope they release the next gen handheld version on both 3DS and PSP Vita.

Attivision said that they have no plans to ever release a skylanders game on the PSP Vita in an intervue some time ago. They said it was not cus they did not like the vita but the said that the vita is in the market for people 23+ and skylanders is aimed at kids 8+ so they do not think it is a good fit. Wich is to bad cus i think they could make a good skylanders game for the Vita.
