I'm really hoping that they are just trolling us and it's about someone else. It would be a nice surprise. Because while I like the idea of this rumor, I would've liked to see it happen with no prior knowledge. Knowing that it was a rumor to begin with ruins it for me (same applies to Discord).


Could by this 'Skylar' character that we saw merchandise for a while ago. Or, as many people have suggested on EQD, the whole episode could be a build up to the coronation and, as it gets closer to the end, certain events occur and Twilight changes her mind.

...You know what, I'm gonna shut up now because I just know that if I guess too hard I'm gonna be right at some point and be annoyed with myself when I am smilie

What is it with this show's season finales and royalty?

Season 1 = Prince Blueblood
Season 2 = Princess Cadence
Season 3 = Princess ???

^Also I can't be the only one that noticed that when Twilight finally gets an episode based on her in a season, it's often the first or last episodes (with some exceptions).

Well, it only really makes sense - she is the main main character after all. A lot of series have a system where they have the first and last episode(s) focused around the main character a lot more than any other character - it's to be expected.

Well, the episodes people tend to remember the most (on average, not saying this is completely true), are the premier and finale. Thus, it would make sense the main character gets the focus for these episodes... <.<;

Yes but I mean that she gets these episodes, but then for the rest of the season she's mostly sidelined.

It's like they remember she's the main character when they're writing the premieres and finales, but they otherwise forget she's there.

Well, the seasons not over, and Discord could still be in the finale - after all, Celestia said she had a use for his magic if he could be persuaded to use it for good. Maybe this is foreshadowing a role for Discord in the finale.
