Not going to happen, and I don't see much point. I can see why to prevent hacking, but it's a rarity and it's not a huge loss. And for the people who can't manage their own time, that's their problem and you can't rely on a feature.

The problem is that it can be a nuisance to have everyone tell you "Please ban/suspend me!".

To be honest, I have not been on a lot of forums with the option to deactivate your account, but if the demand exists, perhaps it's worth consideration?

I've seen a couple.
Still, I feel that is not needed because most just return in a new account.

I hate that so much, I mean, I know dS is really addicting, but it's not an unbreakable addiction...

And when people ask to be banned so they can study for tests and stuff? Like really? Tell your parents to not let you on the computer? Go the extra mile to not go on it? Like really? I don't get it.

And when someone does get banned for "grades", they just come back the next day with a new account. That is so freaking annoying. We have a perfect example of that (MasterChief) who is currently on his fifth account. e_e

Headache inducing...

I can also understand leaving for privacy reasons, changing your name, all that. Deactivation may be useful when it comes to that, and may give dark a bit more of a break and all that...


Yeah... I'd rather have a username change feature... since I really hate this name... <.<;

For the idea, I don't think it's a bad idea. I agree with Pix's post, but this may not be a bad thing to add, since Dark MUST be tired of the "OMG BAN/GNORC ME PLZ" posts.

Yeah... I'd rather have a username change feature... since I really hate this name... <.<;

Agreed, It would be way better than having tons of people making new accounts.

My opinions to a tee.

And name changing... god just deal with it. I hate my cliched name and people confuse me for others all the time. Keep calm and carry on...
