Funny how they call them "Skylanders Giants Sidekicks."

Can we still purchase for $9.99 each or have they canned that? I only need 2 and hoping they let choose the 2 I want..

The game stop let me choose which ever ones i wanted (however, i needed all 4), so they should allow you to choose which ever one you want! But the gamestops are running the sidekicks as $999.99, so it doesn't get sold individually. The only way you can get them now, is by spending $29.99 sadly.

That's what the GS employee told me too when I asked about buying them separately. He said that they were only for the promotion and wouldn't ever be sold individually. I'm not sure if that will change, but I was willing to buy the ones that I didn't have.

I just went in and bought Thumpback and Eye Brawl in a GameStop, and the guy asked me which sidekick I wanted. I had actually forgotten about that promotion (just wanted the Giants TBH). Well, we already have all of the sidekicks, so I told the guy to just give it to the next kid that comes in buying Skylanders.

So, whoever gets it, enjoy.

They let you choose which ones you want. Today I bought the Scorpion Striker pack and Flash Wing and was eligible to get a free sidekick. I chose Trigger Snappy.

I seriously doubt he will do that. We were talking about getting Skylanders for our kids (I think he snagged the other Eye Brawl and Thumpback out of the box TBH), and he put the sidekick on the register - not under the counter or somewhere he wouldn't see it. Also, I got the impression that he already had the sidekicks, because he was telling another employee about the whole Frito Lay promotion last year when I said we already had all of them. He actually seemed pretty eager to give it to some kid - said he would enjoy making some kid's day with the free toy.

Besides, what would I do with an extra mini Stealth Elf?

I went to 4 gamestops tonight to see what I could find. All four had minis, the one in my town let me get them for the $30 deal or buy them for $10. The next two said I had to spend $30 to get one, as in every $30 before tax i would get one mini. The last one tried to sell me one but it rang up as 999.99 as someone above mentioned.

I ended up getting 9 of them (2 of each one and by mistake an extra because i had returned items from the first shop to combine to get 8 in total, ie. $240). Got 3 hot dog packs, 1 golden cannon pack, the ipad version of the game with the purple tiki guy, and a few wave 3 ones i haven't seen anywhere (lighting rod, stealth elf and tharfang.

Now tomorrow i get to sell the hot dogs to friends that need.

I love that you have to spend 29.99 and Thumpback + Eyebrawl = 29.98. I ended up having to buy a figure I didn't need to get one. Nice touch, Gamestop.

Ha ha...Yeah...I ended up getting my kid a Skylanders Easter present purchased early for that penny as well.

All I bought was TB and EB, and I got a sidekick offered to me.

My gamestop just had the manager changer the price of eye brawl from $14.99 to $15.00 so that it was $30.

We already had them all, so I ended up with an extra Whisper Elf if anyone needs one.
