Managed to snag all 4 Sidekicks on ebay for $40 which is about 1/3 the cost they have been known to go for. Not sure if this has anything to do with the new Gamestop supply, but either way I'm happy

I suppose that's possible, however they did have a Stone Whirlwind go through auction for over $100 a while ago. Either way, I'm not complaining.

But as they are being sold at Gamestop now. Either for the spend $120 get 4 free, or being sold outright by some select stores. They are becoming much more common. And more common drives price way down. I would expect these kind of prices to become much more common now.

My local Gamestop told me today that the price point for the sidekicks had been changed in the system by corporate. if they're scanned now they come up as $999.99 in the system instead of $9.99. He said they did this because of the fact that some stores were selling them outright instead of waiting for the promotion. He also told me that the stores MIGHT be allowed to sell any remaining sidekicks separately after the promo ends but he doesn't know for sure.

I'd spend that much on a toy!

Seeing that guys user name in ebay, I can guarantee he knows what toys are worth. Maybe he just wanted to move some extras out.
I had some extra series 1 skylanders I threw on ebay like zap slam bam and a handful of others. There were about 15 in the box and I just put a buy it now of $60 shipped. Would I have been able to get more? Yes
Did I actually want more? Not really. Just didn't want them anymore.

I saw a Pearl Hex going for around 90$ less than 2 weeks ago.
