That would suck BIG time is Activision decides to make series 1 not compatible with future games just so they can make force us to buy series 2 to play the same character.

They'll just make series 1 figures more obsolete by adding more functionality to Series 2+ figures.

chances are yes but wud prolly have disadvantages over the newer versions. like whats currently happening.

I am sure the formula will continue , such as The next Skylanders game will have benefits for S3 over S2 and S1

I agree with the above. TFB will brag about continued forward compatibility but offer exclusive content that can only be gained by buying the newest figures. The series 1 figures will still be useable but continue to be less and less effective and desirable for gameplay. I don't expect to see series 3 next generation but I do expect to see series 2 made of the missing eight and some of the new figures to continue the process of making people feel like they need S2's to enjoy the game properly.

My country cover say in is own language that figures work on skylanders spyro adventure and new versions of the game may need other requiriments so may not work on the 3 game

I know that this wont be a popular opinion with everyone but if like to see S3 have only a new game and 6 expansion packs that work in 1,2 and 3. With only one new character in each pack.

They'll keep letting you play older skylanders. Might not have a wow pow or a new wowier powtastic move but they'll play. It'd be nice to get some forward compatibility with s2 but I'm not counting on it. S3 will be ssa ones that didn't get a repose and the giants newlanders. I'm hoping for more new figs.

I'm wondering.. do you think in game 3 that they'll put some S:SA Skylanders in as reposes that weren't used for Giants? If so, would they be S2 or S3? Like if they did, say, Camo or Voodood?

I wonder is Spyro will stay in the series for very long, or is he just a character used to get Skylanders popular?

I don't expect series 3 figures either for Skylanders 3. All the current Giants, Newlanders and the remaining original SSA characters could see Series 2 reposes with Wow Pows + path switching. Then mix in new characters and lightcores and that's a full lineup for the next game.
