Got my sidekicks (or minis as Gamestop is calling them) today. You should have seen my kids jumping around when I showed them the Gamestop bag with all 4 sidekicks.

awesome for you...i was at gamestop today and I asked a bunch of questions playing dumb and asked if they could be purchased outright...he told me no..so the only way I can get them is by spending a whopping 120 on wednesday! He only had a medium priority box with them in it too..possibly only 3 sets. I wasn' t all that impressed with that. I mean, I have two neighboring cities that I frequent but I really don't want to have to chase these down if the quantities are limited.

Congrats! My GameStop was jerks and wouldn't sell them to me. Kept saying it was part of Wed promotion and wouldn't sell. I tried to explain it was ok to sell and he said nope I was lying so oh well I'll wait to Wed. Ugh!

Jerks for doing their jobs correctly? Do I really need to explain this one?

I called like 11 Gamestops in my area and this one sold them outright. He did know about the promotion that was upcoming but let me buy them. The other 10 stores except 1 had them but were holding till the 16th. I just got lucky. Still haven't even seen a Hot Head on a shelf so I guess this luck is making up for that :-)

I had a similar experience, I bought them from a young man he encouraged the sale rather than the promotion.

Are they doing this in the UK as well? (I bet not since we never got them in the first place )

Well, they are cute

Sidekicks are simply just to collect. They look cool in the game, but that's about it. Worth $9.99, but not a whole lot more.

My local Gamestop told me today that the price point for the sidekicks had been changed in the system by corporate. if they're scanned now they come up as $999.99 in the system instead of $9.99. He said they did this because of the fact that some stores were selling them outright instead of waiting for the promotion. He also told me that the stores MIGHT be allowed to sell any remaining sidekicks separately after the promo ends but he doesn't know for sure.

The sidekicks were just meant stand there and look pretty.

I hope they are on sale for less than that snickered price. $10 each for an in-game item? Yikes!

Just got back from my GS and they finally got in the SideKicks but the sticker price is $999.00. I told the employee that thats a joke right, or a mistake? He said no that they are free with $29.99 purchase of skylanders. I explained that the post on this site show that other GS sell them for $9.99 each. He rang up trigger snappy and it showed up out the door as $1007.xx (dont remember the change). I am glad that I already got them all when the promotion came out. I will print out the picture above and take it in too see if they will change it for those that did not get any during the promo.
