I'm not sure we are getting Triple packs after Triple Pack 7.....Though I have no clue what it is.......Nor do I really care for Triple Packs as I promised not to ask for the S2 of figures who's S1 I have. Most of them have all had at least 2/3 Skylanders be ones I already have.....

I think we can assume that would be the single packs that have yet to appear in a triple pack

Yup, stuff like S2 Drobot, and S2 Wrecking ball. We also have not seen S2 Bash in a triple pack either so he could be in one.

I would have doubts about them making many more 3 packs, but they *should* have one or 2 more with whatever comes out in the final waves.

Well, it would probably be some variations of Spyro, Hex, Fright Rider, Cynder, Jet Vac, Wrecking Ball, Bash and Drobot, since they're the only ones without a triple pack release.
Though, it would probably exclude Cynder and Jet Vac, since they were in all the starter packs, and Cynder got her own single release, which Jet Vac probably will too.

i think sales reports said there would be 5 triples, and the terrafin-stealth elf-eruptor is the 5th one. So I doubt there will be any more. What's strange about the 5th triple, is that its the only one that features all non-new characters.

No, they're NOT in all the starter packs, anyone who owned the first game, such as myself, probably got the Portal Owner's starter pack, which doesn't include Jet Vac or Cynder (though we can still get Lightcore Jet Vac separately), it just comes with Tree Rex, that's it.

You're right. But you're also wrong. Anyone who did their research on Skylanders Giants before they bought it knows that the starter pack was a way better value than the portal owners pack, not just because of the other characters, but practically for the portal itself. Especially, for PS3 gamers, the old portal ran on batteries, and sucked your wallet dry for double A's. A week of playing this game is worth the wired portal all by itself, not to mention that the new portal is more powerful and allows the lightcore figures glow better when they are placed on it. Basically, if you bought the portal owners pack, you're usually wishing you spent $15 more on the new portal and new figures, instead of spending $30 more on batteries, and then having to buy the characters you didn't get in the pack.

Well, I'm on the XBox 360, so my portal is already wired, I think it was the only one, I know Wii was wireless too. smilie This is the first I hear about the Lightcore characters working better on Series 2... No, most people don't do such research, so I think my point is valid. In the end some people got the Portal Owner's Pack, so my point was that not everybody who has Giants has the Starter Pack, or those two Skylanders. On the surface, it just seems obvious that getting a second portal is wasteful and pointless. Knowing what I know now, that the new portals are different, it seems far less so, but I did read that the runes on the side light up on Series 1 but not on Series 2, so Series 1 sounds better. In the moment, it WAS obvious that the Starter Pack was a rip, only $10 or $15 off (I forget how much), but no Portal, no Jet Vac, no Cynder, so yes the Starter Pack is a better value, but the Portal Owners pack was still cheaper, and at that point I had plenty of Skylanders and didn't need more.

I had the original but had to get the starter pack for the WiiU. I'm glad it came with Jet Vac but I really could have done without Cynder. There are very few Series 2 figures I'm buying as I already have all the characters from the original. I have gotten all the light core figures that are out except for Shroomboom as I have yet to find it. I do have all the giants up to this point though and Thumpback and Eye Brawl have been the two I have wanted from the start. It wouldn't bother me if Ninjini waits a while to come out.

Well, this is just an assumption but we could see these packs,

7) Fright Rider/Bash/Drobot
8) Hex/Wrecking Ball/Slam Bam

Idk, maybe we wont see any triples, and Spyro (if they release more) could be like the Wham-Shell of Giants. Maybe because he was the hero of the first game maybe?

7.Bash, Fright Rider, Drobot.
8. Wrecking Ball, Flameslinger, Slam Bam.
9.Hex, Spyro, Jet-Vac.
Bonus: Battle Pack-Polar Whirlwind and Jade Flashwing.

And that's all.

I see you have a LC Jet-Vac. The only way you're saving yourself the trouble is if you didn't plan on getting series 2 Cynder or Jet-Vac. Obviously you didn't, but you still got LC Jet-Vac. Maybe you like the lightcores, but lots of people don't, lots of people are planning on collecting the series 2s for their heroics, and all of them would have saved time and money just by getting the starter pack. The portal owners pack was a good idea, for someone trying to save money and for parents who are a bit clueless (no offense, mom and dad) as to what they are buying. But for someone who buys the portal owner pack, and then continues to buy more characters... it just seems like bad foresight.

Well, firstly my interest in Lightcore WAS if "Lightcore" really meant what I thought, that parts light up like the Giants (which of course I now know is the case). Secondly, he was a Christmas gift. smilie

And yes, my only interest in the Series 2 characters (the re-releases, that is) would be for the Heroics, really, though not much since I can and did finish all the Heroics in SSA. And actually, my disinterest in the Starter Pack remains the same: It has Cynder, I already have Cynder (and same thing for the Portal). I was open minded to getting Jet Vac, but not enough to get a second Cynder and Portal. I've heard something about some WowPow thing, so I'm curious to see what that's all about, but my nephews got S2 Chop Chop with the Dragonfire pack, and I didn't notice anything different about him (this was before I had heard about this WowPow thing to look for it, though). I do want all the Giants, since I like collecting, and 8 Giants isn't nearly as out of reach as collecting all Series 1 Skylanders, or collecting all the 40-whatever SG characters.

Basically I don't want repeats, seems like a waste of money and resources, and additional effort to upgrade a character AGAIN. smilie

All points valid. It's just unfortunate that in order to get good heroics for the newlanders, you have to have series 2 characters, which is why I decided that getting series 2 wouldn't be so bad. The Wow Pows arent that great, but serve just another annoyance of regret if you decide to not get them. And of course, the bonus XP you get for having the orange bases certainly does speed up the process of leveling all of those characters up.
