Haven't seen a thread discussing the 3DS version and some of the things you need to find.
Right now I'm having trouble finding the Jackalopes on "The Tar Pits" in Sand Dune Seas. (It's the second chapter in that level). I'm one of those people who hunt all through the levels for things, usually taking like 13 minutes to get through the level, and for the life of me I can't find all 10 of them. (I came in with 9 last time)
Anyone know the location of all of them?

If its the slide level then it's in the very beginning. Instead of starting the slide go backwards. Took me several tries before I got that one.

If you need any more help on your 3DS game you can send me a PM. I've beaten it completely (minus the adventure packs but there pretty much the same as the old ones, with some minor changes)

Heh. I actually went back and realized that I HAD found all of them, but for whatever reason my character wasn't picking them up when I went through them, so I made sure I got every one.
...aaannnd now I've 3 starred everything in the main game. Off to the adventure packs! Speaking of which- for anyone who has Dragon's Peak registered in the 3DS Giants game. "The Pit" battle arena level is glitching for me. I've beaten the regular and time challenges, and now going back to finish one other mission (the Defeat 50 Enemies one), it starts a countdown for 1:10...wtf is this? Has anyone else encountered this glitch in the game? (if they haven't already done the level?) I don't even know what to do now. It's not like they could issue a patch or something and there's no way to beat 50 enemies in a minute and 10 seconds due to the time in between rounds.

I've experienced that glitch. It's this weird thing that replaces the timer with whatever time you got on your last run or something.

Derp. I went and tried out the level in the Time Challenge, and I had just enough time to beat 50 enemies.
Just in case anyone else happens to see this and is playing the Adventure Pack levels- DO THE "Defeat 50 Enemies" CHALLENGE FIRST. The other ones like don't eat food or avoid the whatever is easily done on time challenge. Looks like to me they had leftover code that popped up with these from the last game. (which, if you tried the level again after beating it and beating the Time Challenge mode, it'd still come up as a Time Challenge no matter what)

There is a corner where u can avoid both the bigger one and the small one. Bit tricky to avoid falling when sliding. Let the monster come near you to grab the coins.

haha that's the last one I had to do. I was FINALLY Able to beat them in both versions though.
Unfortunately, there's really only 2 ways to go about it: Either hide the entire time or tackle the slicers head on. Hiding in the corner as Dark's guide and lushipur said is somewhat easy. There's points on the 3 external slicers that they won't hit. The bad part about that is that you kind of have to bring things in closer to you, and the treasure will usually drop farther away, making you having to go out regardless. The alternate one, and what's worked better for me in both games is to just say to heck with it, and actually head towards the main slicer. Now that probably sounds stupid, but it works. Basically, being closer to the center will allow you to easily avoid the slicer by jumping over it. Obviously, you'll want characters that have a double jump float ability (like Hex, Gill Grunt, Whirlwind, etc) I used Whirlwind in SSA and Gilly in Giants, and I think it was much easier doing it with Gil. I'd save that challenge for last if possible. The brilliance of Gilly though is that his water pack will do damage to enemies. So basically you can just play cat and mouse and hover over the enemies (who are drawn to you regardless by the way) and will also allow you to hit the treasure chests that spawn near you. (This is all in the area closest to the camera by the way. It's suicide going anywhere else on the level). It takes a while though, but just keep at it. One other mention is that my Gilly is the S2 one. He's on the triple shot path, and is at level 15 which I guess in the 3DS version gives him the anchor to shoot out instead of the triple shot.

The path's in the Console version doesn't effect the 3DS version at all. They only have the same 3 upgrades. (With the exception of the series 2 wow pow though stupidly they don't tell you how to use it you have to find out yourself.)
As for the avoid the slicers I did well using Lightning Rod. Though I kept on making minor mistakes mainly in the last round causing me to loose the challenge. Though I haven't tried it out in awhile. I was going to go in and be extra causious since the Giants level doesn't have the timer in the third round you have to deal with. Ofcourse, I did try it one other time with Chill. I was hoping that you'd only loose the challenge if you got damaged by the slicers. as in I was using Chill's shield to block the damage from the them. But it turns out that I was wrong and it doesn't matter rather you take damage or not you still loose the challenge by getting hit. Also the third things that appear on the part do they count as Slicers? With all my tries I haven't been hit by one yet.

Ah, it's the Wow Pow. I was trying to figure out why the 2 I had were different. I used the one with the Wow Pow. I dunno about anyone else, but it basically one shots most enemies in the game, which is extremely helpful on the slicer level so you don't have to worry about trying to get rid of an enemy on the other side that's holding the wave up. The spikes that come up don't count, but if you're floating near them, you'll sometimes be pushed over to the slicers and/or the animation kind of "sticks" and you get hit even if you land and jump.

I see... well I really wish they'd put it in somewhere about the Series two Wow Pow. Ugh. Most of them you have to try and figure out yourself. Unless it's obvious like Slam Bam's Wow Pow or Bash's.
