Honestly, it isn't really any different for someone to take everything in the store to sell on ebay, or to stare at in the package. Making money off of something doesn't make it automatically evil, it's denying everyone else the opportunity to get them that makes is a bad thing to do. Why not buy 1, maybe 2, now, leave some for other people's kids, and pick up a few more later when everyone has had a chance to get them.

Finally, I hoped somebody would say something like this. He TECHNICALLY is Scalping, but I guess he just Absolutely NEEDS them for his collection. He can't wait like the rest of us. I'm surprised he hasn't gone bankrupt yet, but I believe he once said he sold older products like old Transformers figures awhile back, which in a lot of people's minds, would be an assinine thing to do to buy Skylanders, it is a game, not worth having a big deal to have EVERY single figure, let alone 4-5 of them. Can't you be happy with just one? I suppose not. I guess not giving a kid one of your old Camo figures you were holding at WalMart was the good thing, as you couldn't let such a rare skylander lose your grasp for your collection. Scalping means to buy the figures, and immediately auction them on some place for an even higher price. GM gets usually 3. 1 Unopened, 1 for Path A, and 1 for Path B, and usually buys a 2nd set for a friend/family member.

Well, honestly, someone else got to them before I did. So, someone did walk away from the Gamestop I got 3 sets from with a EB and TB.

Another thing, though. The 4th set went to Crazyace. I could have kept that, right? I do need 4 sets for my own household, yet I am 1 EB and 1 TB short of having the required amount for my collection. My kids have a set, and I have 2 sets. I need 3, though. So, I think more than just me made off good today. I know Crazyace could agree with that.

I wouldn't be quick to assume, bro. I did put myself to the side so my kids would have a set today, as well as my friend, Crazyace. I will most likely find more sets tomorrow, in order to get my Path B EB and TB, as well as a set for my friend Rossmacdaddy on Gamefaqs.com. He has helped me a great deal, so it's only fair I return the favor.

Well, take a look at what it says. "Week of the Giants". It's not "Thumpback and Eye Brawl Release Week".
Lots of other shows and franchises have weeks where a character "takes over" their facebook account. It's a very common promotional stunt.

What's bothered me is that everyone took it as "OMG EYEBRAWL AND THUMPBACK CONFIRUURRMMED U GUIZE", when that's not what this directly is. They've been out since at least last Friday, so this isn't really for them. (although, surely from a promotional standpoint, you're going to want to put your newly released characters on there, right?)

EDIT: Ah, found what I wanted to quote for sprocketrocket. Essentially, just because someone finds something at one store, it doesn't necessarily mean that a store in your state will have it as well. (heck, the ones down the street from these might not even have them)

Since these guys are "toys" to most stores, that means that usually over the course of the week after they start appearing, you'll end up seeing them making their way across the coast. First poster who found them was in CA, and that was the 11th. Today we know GM and a few other users in Oklahoma found them, meaning that it's taken 3 days for them to get to the middle of the country. I theorize that people on the East Coast should then see them by Friday. (or at least, we should see some people reporting in about them)

BTW GM78, what was the Box Layout?

He already said there are 2 Thumpback, 2 Eye Brawl, 1 Hot Head and 1 Crusher. I hope this helps and I wish you and everyone else good luck this week.

I don't think they'd hold 6 for you. Most walmarts have a hold limit like only 2.

Obviously, someone in Edmond Oklahoma (technically considered to be in Oklahoma City limits) has one. But, wait. How did they, when I screwed all of the Skylander fans over? I guess I hijacked the shipments the other Gamestops in my city are getting tomorrow, which will have them, thus screwing more people over, right?

How about this? I can tell you of at least 4 Gamestops in my city, where the employees don't even allow the more obscure Skylanders to hit the shelves. The employees there - two of them are managers - open the boxes in the back and take what they want, while putting the crap out of the floor.
