It's hardly telling when they have only arrived at a few nearby stores. We thought Hot Head, Flashwing and Sprocket would be hard to find. They can't give Sprocket away at the stores I have been to. And I don't know who thought a pink dragon would be a good idea for the target aged boys (not that I personally don't really like Flashwing), I've seen kids refuse to even pick her up and look. The only thing I haven't seen at multiple stores without even trying lately is LC Shroomboom and S2 Lightning Rod. Oddly enough, it's the Lightcores that seemed to have dried up post-Christmas, kids think they are really cool.

Yeah, Thumpback and Eye Brawl are going to be popular. A pirate whale and a spooky eyeball. Hard to find I would imagine for a few weeks. But I really doubt that two of the Giants are going to be that hard to track down when they occupy two-thirds of a case of singles. You will be able to get them, maybe not in every store you go into, but they will be obtainable. Honestly, it will be harder to find the older stuff if you still need it.

This morning my old lady informed me that we had earned a free $5 Toys R Us reward...so I took my 5 year old out to do some errands and told him he could buy ONE skylander and I'd foot the other half since we had a coupon and it expires soon. We go there and they have only 2 unique skylanders that aren't part of his collection...Sprocket and Flashwing. We left without a skylander. Ouch. LOL

I would like to believe that Eye Brawl will be stocked similar to how Bouncer and Swarm (and to a lesser extent Crusher)have been in stores...However, Hot Head is nowhere to be found...ever...I'm starting to think that he was released by mistake....I had one (only one that was sitting all by his lonesome in Walmart) in hand before Christmas and put it back on the shelf because my kid has eruptor and, well, I didn't think he'd bring anything to the table and he has never even commented on him via the poster or the videos within the game (soul gems etc). Don't see myself buying him, but I do pay attention to see if he ever "pops up" for curiosity's sake...because it has been a while now. So that is where most of the angst comes from with scoring an eye brawl.

What I'm hoping for is that since there are 2 s and 2 s, then places get a lot of boxes of them so that everyone including myself can score some new guys especially .

My son on Christmas morning, every time he opened a girl one "Look Mommy, one for you!". Chill. Stealth Elf. Sprocket. Flashwing. Hex. My TRU is swarmed with girl Skylanders. I have this weird feeling that Ninjini is going to be crazy easy to find, especially in her default pink outfit. It's like a red headed Barbie, pre-teen boys definitely won't be rushing out to buy that. Or Lightcore Chill or Hex.

Hot Head has been really easy to find in the past couple months. The later shipments all pretty much had at least a couple Hot Heads, Crusher is actually harder to find, since he wasn't in the Wave 2 case mix. Given that the Wave 3 Giant case mix is almost all new Giants, that will work out well. You won't have old figures from the cases clogging up the shelves slowing down new shipments. I don't know what the other two Giants in the box are, but if it is Crusher or Hot Head then they will move too.

Yeah TRU rewards programs are the worst. I just got into them last year since I have a 7 and a 4 year old and buy stuff all the time at TRU so I figured why not. I have been a member of best buy rewards for years and have earned hundreds of dollars in coupons. I finally had enough purchases to finally earn that first 5 dollar off coupon.... Then I read all the restrictions on it. No video games, no video game accessories, no learning products (leap pad, tag, etc).... they limit so much on them... and to make it worse, there is a SHORT time limit on when they expire... like three weeks from time you earn them. Hell, best buy gives you like 6-9 months to use theres. Very poorly done TRU... my first coupon came and went expired because i got it right before Christmas (didnt need anything had everything bought) and expired on Jan 9th. Certanly didnt need to buy any toys right after Christmas.... just a sad program ran by TRU....

They could learn something from Best Buy....

Yep, those reward dollars (and the coupons they send out) pretty much rule out 99% of the interesting stuff in the store. No video games, no video game accessories, no Lego, etc. They are worthless.

Best Buy's program is leagues better. I get and use their coupons all the time. Their @Gamer coupons from their print magazine are insane, and ALWAYS stack with sales. I got the 3DS Giant starter there after a price match, plus a coupon for $25 last Fall.

I'm in Florida and I've never NOT seen a crusher in either my local Target or Best Buy....and you could fill an entire landfill with all the swarms and bouncers you see out there amongst the stores...Those things have "Atari ET buried somewhere in the middle of New Mexico" written all over them. (That's an old school video game joke for you younger folk)

Like I said, I've seen ONE...Count them ONE Hot Head since November when I first started with this game...all by himself at Walmart...And I've been in all kinds of skylanders-selling stores since then. I could go buy 15 crushers right now before I could get one Hot Head.

Honestly I think it varies by TRU or TRU cashier. I have had them accept the rewards coupon for Skylanders and I have had them tell me that it's not eligible because they are "video game accessories". You just have to try it or time the coupon for the very end of the sale, like you forgot it - ie; after they have bagged the product...

But yes, I do agree that on the whole the entire rewards program sucks horribly. It could be so much better, but then they'd actually have to give more discounts....

I fell the same about legendaries too. such an ugly paint job, but they have better stats so I buy them.

They scan the barcode on the product and then scan the barcode on the coupon. It is the system that does not apply the discount. Regardless if the coupon is scanned first or last.

This is for Rewards Dollars. I have had $5 coupons come to my inbox before that were valid on anything, including skylanders. Perhaps you are referring g to those?

Crash, did you collect or play S:SA? They had the GITD variants for that game that were harder to find. They were not released all over the place like Sonic Boom was. That is why people liked the GITD ones.

Well Zook luckily there are s and s on ebay that are from Texas and New York now. From my research online, I have found out that 9 out of 50 states already have them now. The ones on ebay I've seen are from Oklahoma, Texas, California, Utah, New York, Washington, Arizona, Nevada and somewhere I can't remember, but will report on what that state was.

You've seen some from Oklahoma? I don't see any in Oklahoma, when doing a nearest first look. If so, it means Gamestop stores lied to me and it's most likely the punk *** employees of certain stores being twits, instead of truthful.
