Just went to Walmart and found a Pirate Seas and Dragon's Peak adventure pack. I bought both of them cringing to let go of my money for the sidekicks next week. I'm asking you if I should keep Pirate Seas, Dragon's Peak, or sell them both for profit. Which in turn will allow me to get MOAR SIDEKICKS! (I'm kidding, I only need three) If I sell them, how much should I expect the to sell for?

They are actually going for a bit more on Ebay. Dragons Peak actually seems to be the easiest to find. Pirate Seas is more rare but not as rare as the Darklight Crypt.

Question is... Do you have these already? If you don't then I would keep them. As they are far better then the sidekicks.

UGH. I found 2 Darklight Crypts a week ago. But they were kinda wrecked.

I dunno why DarkLight Crypt is now impossible to find now. They are probably gonna put Ghost Roaster in some sort of promo or bundle like Wham-Shell.

I have both in-hand unopened. Only problem is the 20 I spent on one was gonna go to the spend $30 get free sidekicks. But I gotta sell one or return it because I told my dad if he bought it for me I would give him his money back, expecting to make a profit on it (again for the sidekicks). If these were at GameStop at the other hand, I would have no problem keeping it.

From what I heard in another thread, Ghost Roaster was out of production awhile ago. I still stand by my earlier point. I know the side kicks are cool and everything. I just think the adventure packs are way better. I could be wrong in this next statement (I am never wrong ) don't you have to atleast have a few of the adventure packs to be able to get accolade for hats.

So........... If you had to pick between the two which would you keep?

Pirate Seas:
Rarer I think?-But I already have S2 Terrafin. I do plan to have all original 32 as well but I want sidekicks more than a duplicate character.

Dragon's Peak:
Can't get Sunburn any other way.

Adventure packs are vastly superior than sidekicks.

When frito lay effed up our sidekics (sent in for 4, got 1) I was pissed. Once it was here and the kids had it,, I was hopeful. The sidekick has been on our portal a total of 3 times for 10 seconds. It got registered in game and then put into storage. I "spent" $8 for this little POS and it hasn't been used nor will it ever get used.

I own Gill Runt, I think he is awesome to have running around and the other thrre along with him will look great to display. I really want them insanely bad. The only reason I got Gill Runt was because I heard about it last minute and managed to get the last chip bag within an hour from my house.

How do you plan on selling them?

The magical eBay.

Don't plan on making much of a profit. Pirate Seas sells for ~37 max and Dragons Peak for ~$35. So say you do get that, you have to pay eBay and PayPal fees. That's about 12.9% + 0.30 transaction fee. Plus about 4-5 for shipping on each. You will probably clear about $5-6 off each.

If you say that you want all 32 original guys, keep the adventure packs. With Gamestop selling these side kicks. They will go down in price on ebay, more supple = lower price.

Alright, if anybody objects do it before tomorrow at 8:00 am. I'm going to open dragons peak and will keep pirate seas sealed until I get the money to pay my dad back. Then I'll try to get at least one sidekick.

It's ironic that Darklight Crypt is so hard to find now, because around Xmas 2011, TRU in Times Square marked them, and only that battle pack (Pirate Seas was also out at that time), to $9.99 because they were extremely overstocked. If I knew they'd be as rare as they now are, I would have stocked up!

all 3packs except darklight crypt can be found easily at sams club(US) for $16-19 depend on your area. some target still carry them. as of christmas til now I never even see even 1 darklight crypt. average for.darklight crypt in ebay is $50 more or less+shipping. im still hoping to get one orig price before I buy one at evilbay.

My SAMs Club has phased out all SSA items.

Wal-marts (Sam Clubs) are phasing those out from what I have ben told.

all my sams club 5 different ones has tons of SSA Adventures packs= Ice, Pirates and Dragons Peak($16-17). Sadly not even 1 Darklight Crypt at all, even with my local stores TRU, wally, BB etc etc which i badly need atm

I wish I heard about skylanders last year lol. Then I would only need to get Giants stuff... Well in a hour or so I'm gonna open Dragon's Peak, thanks too all of you and your helpful comments

Same thing at my Sam's Club... they have TONS of those 3 adventure packs in stock right now!!

As for your dilemma in the OP, i would DEFINITELY, without a doubt keep the Adventure packs and if you really want the sidekicks that badly, just get them off of eBay in a week or two, because they will become much more plentiful (and therefore much cheaper) in the next few weeks on ebay!! The adventure packs give you much more playing time and let's face it, the sidekicks look cute but are completely useless when it comes to in game use... so you will get MUCH more for your money with an Adventure pack!!

Thanks so much guys, this forum is awesome! So i'm keeping these and then as Shroomy_Boomy said, I will buy any I can't get from the promo off eBay. Only rare stuff to find now is

Darklight Crypt
S1 Lightning Rod
Camo, Warnado, Ignitor (Already have him, might sell) Triple Pack (Had plenty at my TRU but it's so far I won't be back until my Birthday, Late February.)

I think that's about it!
