KMart is bigger and more important in Austrailia. AUS Kmarts get GITD Fright Rider.
Best Buy got Volcanic Vault, and you had a larger chance of finding the S1 Glow in the Darks there.

What I meant was, stores don't luck into getting these exclusives. They pay for them. They know that people will buy them in their stores and hopefully spend more money on other stuff.

My Kmarts barely have any Skylanders ever. they are the last place to look for anything, for when I am totally desparate and 9 times out of 10 I walk out empty handed.

Kmart is a loser. They arent helpful.

From what I heard, in the US Kmart and Sears are both going out of business. So for them to get a skylanders exclusive when they're barely keeping afloat just isn't gonna happen. At least, not here. There, maybe, but probably not likely. Sorry.

Best buy kinda got the short end of the stick here. They had that kit or whatever, which really wasn't a good draw.

Kmart doesn't suck. After a long search for Wham Shell, I finally found him at Kmart. This was when Wham Shell was hard to find.

Best Buy has not been doing well recently either. For variants probably not going to have much luck. However, for other figures it is worth a shot.

My sister works at Kmart, it's a great place. They give her free skylanders.

What skylanders did she get

Kmart is on its way out here in the US. I'm surprised its lasted this long.

Kind of off topic but not really at the same time.

Best Buy is switching the way it does business, going from a "Big Box Store" to a Best Buy Mobile store in more cases. Look at what is happening between two of their main areas of business. Music and Movies, and to a lesser extent Video Games. The first two are getting closer and closer to being all "Digital." Video games is going that way also, not saying it is nearly as far as what Music and Movies are but it is going in the same direction. Those areas is where they used to make most of their money. Now, the actual CD market has all but dried up pretty much. DVD's is going that direction.

That leaves them to make money on TV's, which you don't. The money comes from the HDTV Cables everything else that they try and sell you. Their computers is the same as the TV's. They try and sell you other things to make more money. Pretty much it is the same with all of the high dollar items. They sell those at cost or just above, the other things they make their money on is the stuff they try and sell you. With the economy in the crapper, and being able to find stuff cheaper or more convenient spots it is not looking good for them.

I hope Bestbuy dies, I hate that friggen place. Only thing it's good for is an Amazon showroom.

Well for me Kmart is the first place I look at, there are a whole bunch of different Skylanders there (except Glow Frighty) and they have a bit more Hot Heads than Bouncer, Swarm and Crusher combined.

Oh man...I've not been in Kmart for years...its still around? LOL. I don't see them having much of a selection, they've never been a good place to shop in my opinion, as much as I loath Walmart, thats where I do most of my hunting; well that and Gamestop.

So yeah I wouldn't see Kmart doing anything special. When it comes to exclusives, stores PAY for them. And since Kmart (From what I hear) is on its way out the door here in the USA, I wouldn't expect them to use what little money they have on such'a thing.

I will not tolerate Best Buy hate! At least they have a great rewards program!

K-mart for me happened to have a good number of things in earlier in the release, but it seems that it's probably up to corporate to jump on the Skylanders bandwagon. As such, they haven't really replenished the stock after Christmas so...ehh.

I got my Fright Rider from there though. That was a little bit after launch, and was the only store in the area that had it.

As for Best Buy I was reading a thing the other day in the paper about them having some pretty dismal sales for the holidays so...it's very possible for them to go out of business in the future. I've never really bought a lot from Best Buy but the stuff I have gotten from there has been pretty neat.

Yeah, Best Buy is doomed, and it almost makes me giggle with delight. Sucks that so many people are going to lose t heir jobs, but maybe if they did their jobs better they could keep them. I've always had a sub-par experience at BestBuy, and I almost got into a tussle with a district manager 3 weeks ago, then I said "You know what, this place is going the way of Circuit City, why do I care?"

Amazon pretty much just price matches B&M stores now. They don't have that many great sales on their own. When best buy dies there will be even less competition and another source of sales will be gone. Wishing for their demise is just stupid.
