Confirmed as Series 1. I have them in hand, and someone else posted a pic of a bunch in the shipping box in another thread (the "Bad News" thread).

So is there any info about mini jini, eye small, thumpling, and barkley?

Just went to my local nice gamestop. All the employees are super nice and very smart and up to date. So I asked first about the SS. He said the got exactly enough to fill all the preorders, no more, no less. Then I asked about the sidekicks. He told me they were Gill Runt, Trigger Snappy, Whisper Elf, Terrabite. (Yes!)

Asked if they got them in and be said they were supposed to, but didnt. He proceeded to tell me that they are getting 2 boxes of skylanders on Monday, one triple/battle pack and one unmarked box. (sidekicks?) He said all triple/battle packs have the same SKU? number so he can't tell which pack is coming in. He assumes the Hot Dog pack. He asked if I preordered the SS and I replied no, because I was waiting to see if this offer is real or not. So he agreed and said " If you wait to buy the pack just buy one more skylander and get the free "mini guys"! So I will be back on Monday. Hopefully will get at least one sidekick then.

so they will honor past 30 days purchase even you dont have the actual item you bought brand new in hand???? ill just prolly just save this bought items till 16 and return then buy back for the sidekicks promo. even if its the old sidekick this is still good news for us late starters. free instead of $100 off evil bay happy hunting

I don't belive so, this is my theory: all giants had the same SKU, all Triple:Battle Packs have the same SKU, and all single packs have the same SKU. So he would see oh one box of battle/triple packs and one box of giants. But he never saw that number so he assumes its the sidekicks. I'll be back on Monday and hopefully they either have the SS or the new giants for me to spend $30 on. If not ill just get the rest of wave one I need before the to off the shelves.

OT, but where do people get prototype sidekicks? E3 or company employees trying to get a pretty penny?

my gamestop manager at the store i go to was thinking they are sending new giants with the sidekicks. He says he is getting new figures to sell but that it doesn't say which type. Again i cannot confirm this i'm just recounting what he said.

isn't it prototypes were made by TFB? their team chooses which is the best and mass produced to china from what i know off.

does anyone have a extra whisper elf or gill runt. i got trigger snappy and terrabyte in the mail thanks to BlazinBlackMage for being a kind hearted person.

These have been confirmed to be the same sidekicks issued by Frito Lay last summer.

A lot of these have either terrible paint jobs, or overall errors.

so true our terrabyte had terrible paint job alot of scratches, and missing paints on the arms, overlapping paints -.- just waiting for TB and EB and ill get terrabyte. luckily the other 3 were ok tho.

i guess im pretty lucky, all my sidekicks had spot-on paint jobs.
