No, I mean PvE: Player vs Enemies (otherwise known as Story Mode)
Sandhog is better for that, but less fun and annoying to control.

Better paths for PvP:
Blitz Spyro easily Both paths are bad, but Ultimate Spinner. :vd: Marauder due to it's high speed and damage. Mad Scientist because the Beast form is short-ranged and leaves him vulnerable while transforming. Golden Money Bags, NO QUESTIONS ASKED!! Master Blaster, one-trick pony and a damn good one. Megadozer by miles, Battledozer is terrible in PvP because of its low damage and versatility. I-Beam Supreme is better for Close Range and medium range, the rockets descend slowly anyway. Operator, Gearhead is AWFUL and pointless. Operator does a lot of damage and offers more protection with the mines, both for herself and the turrets. Water Weaver due to Harpooner's pathetic damage and low versatility. Telsa Dragon, Slime Sea Serpent is sooo easy to avoid and it's badly nerfed in Giants now. Neither path has a lot of versatility, but Blizzard Brawler easily. A lot of damage and Armor. Captin Crustacean, Commander Crab is so useless for both PvE and PvP. Nut Crafter is better now because of the Wow Pow, the Acorns are sooo dang powerful. He's seriously broken now. Pook Blade Saint still reigns supreme. Both paths are average, but Floral Defender. Melon Master is nerfed, but at least its better for close range. Vine Virtuso is better for long range. Barrier Boost, better defenses and he already has offense. The Paratroopers still fall VERY slowly on the other path. Many people prefer Lumbering Laserer, but I like Treefolk Charger better. Soul of the Flame easily and breezily; Blademaster's only a threat in close range, SotF is better for both long and close, Volcanor has always been more powerful. Flame Lord, Blaze Dragon is sooo slow. Pyromancer has always been better with the volley shot and supernova. Medea Griffin due to the eggs doing 50 damage. Both paths lack luster, but Eye of the Storm. Tempest Dragon, Baby! The clouds are sooo powerful, the rainbows are still pathetic and weak. Neither path is amazing, but Vac-Packateer. Bird Blaster is overpowered in PvE, but crap in PvP. Brawler, Sandhog is too rocky to control and has a lower damage output. Both paths are very amazing though. Granite Dragon is seriously broken with the heavy damage and how much armor he has. Crystaleer due to better defense, he used to be awful in PvP but his Wow Pow makes him way better now. There's a good pulse-crystal combo too. Grand Master Boomerang easy, Earthen Avenger only had good armor. Super Spinner due to better defense (but lower offense) and accuracy, she still has low HP though. Rubble Master, WAY too much armor and health. He's hard to hit. Undead Defender is HIGHLY overpowered with the Wow Pow now. You still take a small amount of damage, but you unleash 61 or more damage to your opponent with the shield! Bonecrafter still is better. Fear Eater has better defense and the Skull Charge is nerfed now. Shadowdancer because the ghosts are freakin annoying, Nether Welder is useless for the most part. Joust Jockey, it's really fast and has great charge combos; makes up for his low armor and health. Sir Lance A Lot is still fine though.

This NOT about fun factor, so your Best of the Beast statement doesn't count. Plus, even though it does a lot of damage, you take 4 seconds to transform and you're left vulnerable while doing so. You don't get any faster than in Normal form, and it's shorter-ranged, so it's a hassle trying to catch your opponent. No questions asked!! They still descend too slowly to hit your opponent, and you can still get hurt when shooting. Same as Bouncer with the paratroopers. The ghosts explosions are very small and no one will sit there waiting to be hit. Even if they do hit, they only do 15 damage.

but, all four ghosts explode, and 60+ dmg is considered high. she is faster than most opponents, so she can dash away and blast em with lightning. 's paratroopers may fall slow, but he can fill the screen with them. 's rockets? slow? no. they descend fast, and the targeting system will help you hit them, even when the opponent is moving. just aim a bit ahead of the opponent. they will be sorry if they give you time on a ledge or such.
for , the beast form can actually go faster, if you mash A. the swipes proppell him forward, and do dmg. |

Not very likely to hit your opponents will all 4 though, explosions are really small. No one's just gonna sit around waiting to detonated.
You got the wrong picture, you got Sonic Boom instead of Shroomboom. But anyway, the paratroopers still fall slowly even if you spam 3 at once, they're only threatening if you don't move and just camp there. Nope, Beast Form is just as slow as Pop Fizz's normal form (he's slow regardless though), not to mention you're vulnerable when transforming and you don't have a lot of range, you need to be right by your opponent to do something.

Hot Dog: Pyro Pooch (Firewall) is best because if you see my post on PvP tier, it explains it. The raw power is amazing! The soul gem is novelty and is very underwhelming, the opponent has to be stupid enough to step on a little burning bag. .-.

I don't play in PvP but in terms of regular gameplay, Burning Bow Wow is a whole lot of fun, and it does a pretty good chunk of damage to enemies in my opinion. The combos you can kind of chain together to continue blasting, and Pyro Pinwheel attack churns out a lot of fireballs that smack 18 points of damage a hit at enemies.
Ding Dong Ditch is kind of hard to set up and like joerox said, you have to have an enemy step on it to do anything...but when that happens....Mmm mmm mmm. Watching an enemy blow up from a doodie bag is one of the most satisfying things I've ever done in a video game.

I skipped him because I never played him, I can't just rate a character I've never even sued before. Although, many people I know hate Typhoon Titan because the clouds do only 10 damage and are short-ranged, you actually have to chase after your enemies in order to use the clouds (not easy though, his speed is very low and it makes a hassle with the chase). Lightning Lord seems better, even if you still can end the lightning.

Go Barberous or go home! Barberous avenger makes Swarm a versatile powerhouse with very few weaknesses. Good character for both playing keep away, and for getting in your opponents face and being a juggernaut.

^That pretty much sums it up.
I totally agree that Barbarous Avenger is the better path because of the high damage you get for multiple attacks which makes him a tank with speed, long/med. range, and up in their faces.

^ I think both paths are bad (I don't like very much, poorly done), but Super Shards is more fun.
It's pretty good for PvP, but it's AWFUL in PvE. You need walls around to use the upgrades and not everywhere has walls. Super Spinner is better for both PvP and PvE, but less fun. But then again, I think she sucks regardless.

I am on the shards too. It is pretty good with the refractions, except i can beat a wider range of skylanders on spinner; i use the extra spin time not as an attack, but a retreat move. Being faster than most, she can kill some very powerful guys. (Slam bam, voodood, gill grunt, s2 drill sergeant, [elemental advantage], and pop fizz) the trick eith flashwing is to be a patient hit And run type skylander. |
