I decided to fill the Hotdog void today I'd go buy someone else....shelves here in Canadare are B-A-R-E. I didn't honestly expect to find a Lightcore Shroom Boom or even Eruptor s2 , but seriously no Lightcore at all?? Up until Christmas they couldn't give the Lightcore aware around here. I did happen to get one lonely Lightcore Drobot at TRU, I'm planning to keep my Lightcore triple from Target sealed.

Called 4 they all said no but one said Friday definatley.

Preordered in store. Just got a call saying to expect it in store Friday.

Just got text from GameStop. Preorder avail Friday PM. That's that.

Just got a call from them. Automated message said "YOUR GAME should be arriving by Friday afternoon".

So we're looking at the 11th I guess. Cleveland OH here by the way.

Just received an automated phone call from GameStop and said it will be in on Friday. I also called my local GameStop and he just said he spoke to his District Supervisor and she said it should be in by tomorrow but no later than Friday. I believe it will be Friday!

I guess Gamestop's automated system is calling everyone right now! Got the call too!

Same here. Just got the call. Same message basically as Wakeup, I know my GS employee well and he said that they were told that they are saying Friday as a precaution, but more than likely they will get them in tomorrow, and then he said it's pretty much up to how much your GS cares about it's Skylander-buying patrons whether to release them immediately or wait until Friday AM. So SOME stores may have them in before Friday PM, but Friday PM is the latest. Looks like my area MAY get them tomorrow (Syracuse, NY)

They're so stupid. First, the.. 1st, then today, now the 9th? Really guys?

New emails were gotten at Gamestop today, saying "delayed by the vendor" with no expected day of delivery.

lol, so true!! I talked to Gamestop today too, and he said the entire shipments (all of them in the midwest he said for sure, if not in more places) were pushed back to Friday of this week... so I'd be pretty shocked if someone did get it today... it's coming very soon, I think ppl just need to be more patient!! lol I have to wait for mine to get shipped anyway, so I know I'll get one, I just have to wait, I'm fine with that!! lol

Remember GameMaster, all of the GameStop stores are in disarray with the release dor this thing, so some may have got a few in, others didn't.

If people here would use a bit of logic, they would know why these haven't been released today. Quite frankly, it's obnoxious when people say things like "I have this or that figure" before they're even released.

So, let's rack up some things shall we?

1: Stores ranging from 10007 (New York, East Coast), to 73159 (OKC, South Central), to 90036 (LA, West Coast) still show no stores within 100 miles have it. Most, if not all stores, have worked their shipments by now.

2: NO SELLERS HAVE PUT THEM ON EBAY! This is actually numero uno, as we know most of America is greedy and jump at the chance to make money. NOPE! Instead of showing inhand pics, a lot of the dorks selling these pre orders on Ebay are changing the dates, hahaha.

I received a text message from gamestop this morning letting me know my preorders would be in on friday, 1/11/13 and could be picked up. west coast

Hudson County, huge disappointment at GameStop. They mixed up the SKU with the golden dragon fired cannon.

All this misinformation and screwups on shipping is making finding these things not much fun, especially when gamestop is 20 mins away and they have the most unhelpful people ever when you call.

Got the same automated lady about Friday here in Houston.

Got a call from Game Stop Recording telling me I can pick up my SS Battle Pack by noon on Friday (I Pre-Ordered at my local GameStop on 12/5/12). I stopped by my local Game Stop to see what they had to say. The manager was there and looked up my order and told me that they are actually suppose to get them tomorrow. I will stop by after work and hopefully get lucky...

I also see that others are talking about the new side kicks coming out exclusive to Game Stop. I will inquire tomorrow about this since I had no idea about the side kicks until after I got home from Game Stop tonight.

Everyone complaining about Gamestop - remember, just about all of the employees and managers don't know much of anything about Skylanders - and even if they collect the figures themselves, being employed by the company doesn't give them any "inside information" about the true release date. To them, the Scorpion Striker Battle Pack would be just as relevant as "My Little Pony's Ninja Combat" if both items had the same release date in their system, and they'd be just as (un)informed about both.

As for the release date, that delay may be required by the exclusivity arrangement. Toys For Bob may want accurate numbers of how many sell on the first day, and if not all Gamestops had the figures to sell on Wednesday, they'd delay it until the shipments reach all the stores. That could mean today, tomorrow, or even next week if necessary. (Since the calls have gone out, Friday should be a safe bet, though.) Giving people an inaccurate release date may have already contaminated that data, but hey, upper management doesn't care about that, they just want their numbers.


And from a practical sense, if the sidekicks do come out in the second half of the month, I'd just as soon let my Hot Dog cook(?!?) for another week before I pick him up. There aren't really too many more figures I need, and I wouldn't mind getting most of the way towards a free sidekick through a purchase I'd already planned to make.

^ Probably even less relevant than the pony thing. I've met more than my fair share of Bronies who work at Gamestop. Heh.

While I have doubts anything will be there today I will be checking my local gs this afternoon just incase. It's be nice if its there so I don't have to make a seperate trip tomorrow since ill be up there today regardless

I think new Giants is 1/16/13 right? That's the rumor or somebody posted on these boards.

I never saw anything official about it. Just one person posted it and everyone ran with it as far as I know.

OK, so this is just hear say but I have known my local GS guy for many years and he's never gave me false info.... heres what he said happened " gamestop sold more pre-order than actavision could fill, meaning not everyone would get there pre-order and there would'nt be any product for the average customer who didn't pre-order, so actavision pull the pre-order option from game stop so everyone has a chance to get them, GS didnt lose anyones pre-order, it just don't exist anymore, don't worry your money is still in there system's and they will give you a full refund hope this helps .... just dont think because your sitting on a pre order there going to hold one for you, better be there first thing in the mourning before the scalpers.

Sorry, your GS employee might know you for years, but is throwing out false words. People, don't be worried about your preorders, they are still yours. They are still in the comuter and it's according to whoever reserved first. Stores have been told to expect enough to fill preorders for sure, anything extra may or may not be available to those who didn't preorder.

Everything at Gamestop has a cutoff date for reserves. This is so they don't over fill. I've had every memo released to GS employees read to me personally, and this guy you spoke with is THE ONLY GS employee who is saying that.

Also, if this were the case, they wouldn't be filling preorders from Gamestop.com and would have released those preorders, so it could be first come first served. Yet, I know one person who's being charged for his, with another on here saying theirs was as well.

ALSO... if they cancelled preorders, they wouldn't tell customers to come pick up their preorders tomorrow...

I just got my email from gamestop.com that my pre-order of the Scorpion Striker pack has shipped. Has a tracking # in the email. The tracking # seems to imply one of those bogus UPS-->USPS hand off shipments. Poop. I guess at least it has shipped. I bet I do not see it before Thurs/Fri of next week due to this bogus shipment method. :-|

I checked my GameStop today after work and --No-- I did not get lucky. He said that it did not arrive today, but should be here tomorrow. The reason why the messages that are left for pre-orders stating that they will be ready for pickup Friday afternoon is because UPS delievers between 11am - 1pm daily (If there is anything to drop off).

As for the Sidekicks:
He said that he got an email late last night stating that they should be aware that the sidekicks will be arriving soon and that more details will follow. He did not know of how they will be promoted at this time.

I just got an email from Game Stop that my Scorpion Striker pack is being shipped. In the email I also got a tracking # from UPS too. My son and I can't wait. I think the store will have them by tomorrow or Sat.

I'm in the UK and I preordered the scorpion striker from gamestop(USA version) and I got an email with a tracking number, it said that I will have it by Monday, so I checked it and it says its already in the country.

I picked mine up this morning Also, the sidekicks are all of the original ones, the manager read off the shipping list for me.

Picked up my battle pack just now. I noticed a few UPS boxes behind the counter and I asked if they got the battle pack in. He turned around and grabbed one of the boxes and said I was the first to get it. He proceeded to ring me up and didn't even ask about a preorder. So I told him about my preorder since I had the $5 deposit.
