hello fellow Portal Masters,
we(me&kids) are new to Skylanders Game. we had tons of fun playing the game and currently finished the game and wanting to explore other Skylanders game. since we had the Giants we were told that we can still play the previous Adventure Packs from Skylanders Spyros adveture. the problem right now is the Adventure packs are so RARE that i only saw 2(ICE&PIRATE) out 4. my question is, since the success of Skylanders game currently the Giants, Are they still going to continue making Skylanders Spyros Adventure singles, 3packs and Adventure packs? as a late starter of the Skylander game we wud like to continue enriching our wide variety of gameplay and collection. we very interested in Adventure Packs for now and will continue getting every series 1 once in a while. were hoping they make a bundle consisting of 4 adventure packs bundle for late starters like us.
i just wana hear your thought regarding this issue if their still going to continue producing SSA figures and packs. thanks all

That's a pretty good question. I'd like to know the answer as well.

As far as hunting up existing packs, it seems it's a bit easier than you might initially think. I went shopping to replace lost packs over the past couple of weeks and by going here and there (Target mostly, but some luck in Toys R Us as well), I managed to find the Crypt, Empire of Ice and Dragon's Peak. I still haven't seen the Pirate set that you already found, but I'm still looking.

They are there, I think it's just a matter of persistence.

I have also seen the Empire of Ice one shelves at Walmart. Infact I have seen 5 Characters from SSA. So they must still be producing them just in way lower quantities. I hope they will continue because all I need is to complete my collection!

@skyp by any chance do remember where u got ur crypt and dragons peak?
@mrmc all my wally had were starter packs and s1 hex thats like 5 stores I went thru.lol.
I prolly went to 15 diff local store and nada for crypt and dragon

I got the Darklight Crypt at Target in Carle Place Long Island. They still had two more after I bought mine. I don't remember if I got the Dragon there too or bought that somewhere else though.

As for the Empire of Ice I found that on Amazon for cheap ($19 free shipping no tax).

I bet in the future they will give all the figures of the first game as a download

Doubtful as that would destroy the core concept of skylanders.

Nuh-uh.

I am saying in the future in alot of years like 20 years or more.

Skylanders Spyro's adventure is a good game but as you expect, the game will have less because Giants is well known.

Look for loose Skylanders, not adventure packs. They are cheaper and... easier to find. If you are really looking for an adventure pack

Eventually they will stop releasing Spyro's Adventure stuff at some point, they do it with all other franchises, I don't see a reason why they would stop with this one.

I say look for all the pieces of the adventure packs on evilbay loose. its cheeper

The only adventure pack I have not seen these days is Darklight Crypt

Try looking in Sam's Club if you're a member, I've had more luck with finding Adventure Packs there recently.

Hello! Welcome! Glad you and your kids enjoy the game, I too wonder about the adventure packs, as I haven't been out often, and I need Empire Of Ice.
We're not sure about if they are going to still make them, but last time I went to the store I saw the three packs (Not dragons peak), but I doubt the 3-packs would remain. (I could obviously be wrong however)

wow thanks all for the info. I might give it a couple more weeks then. I really luv the hunt when it comes to this. id try to look at local stores one more time for amonth before buying stuff online. cheers all and happy hunting

I was at Sam's Club last week and they had plenty of ALL 4 Adventure packs... tons of Dragon's Peak too... The regular price at Sam's Club is always cheaper, so they're under $18 there... I would recommend checking there if you have a membership!!!

ty for tip, I never thought sams carry them. I might check my local sams today happy hunting

My target seems to have pirates, empire and crypt most if the time. Haven't spotted dragons peak in a long time anywhere.

Spotted a Dragon's Peak at my GameStop the other day. There was just one, and there were no other SSA packs available.

if you are in need of SSA figs, got to TRU. they usually have the biggest amt of skylanders, and i have seen BINS and wWHOLE SHELVES full of SSA figs.

^ My local TRU had many of the other 3 adventure packs, but no darklight crypt to be found!!

I've only seen Darklight Crypt at Targets lately.

not bad just found my 3/4 Adventure packs but i cant seem to find Dark Light Crypts anywhere -.- ill prolly try Targets to different county in my area.... wish me luck

We have not heard if the adventure packs for Skylanders: Spyro's Adventure is still in rotation and we definitely understand that this can be a frustrating search for collectors such as yourself. You have the right idea in checking at different retail locations for these adventure packs that you are missing and from personal experience, you may want to check stores that deal in older product (outlet stores) such as Big Lots, Toys R Us Express, etc. Good luck in your search and if you have any other questions or concerns, do not hesitate to ask us. Oh cool a fellow long islander! Valley Stream has the pirate one, they had 2 of them this pass week. Just ask where skylanders are cause they have like 2 different spots for them, one by electronics and one in electronics.

UPDATE: Carle Place has 2 pirates as of 1:00pm 1/24/13

It's 19.99. Also pirates is there for $34, which aint horrible seeing as TRu sells it for around $26-28.

Yeah, actually, they still are. The packs can be found anywhere, and there's still single packs and triple packs, too.

Wham Shell still hasn't been in some stores, but he's can be found, too
