Ok, now that Wave 2 is sorted, how about we work on these guys when the Wave 3 Battle Pack is released...

Zap S2: Both Paths
Hot Dog: Both Paths

So far, they are due next in the Unsorted category. As for the Giant, just wait. So when the Battle Pack does come out, those will be the first to be worked on.

Also, a question about S2's: when you fully upgrade one upgrade path, switch upgrade paths and buy the other path, will you be able to switch between their paths at will, both fully upgraded, or will you need to buy the old path again?

Also, is S2 Pyromancer's speed the speed shown when flame dashing in what would be considered a soul gem video in S:SA?

You will not need to buy the old path again fortunately, all upgrades bought will NEVER need to be bought again unless the charavter is reset.

Are people happy with the current positions of Jet-Vac / Bird Blaster (currently D Tier) and S2 Double Trouble / Conjuror (currently B Tier), or should they be shifted somewhere?

In regards to S2 DT, I think I recall people saying that the Wow Pow doesn't make enough difference to Conjuror to afford a change in tier, though I may be wrong.

Bird Blaster really might be borderline E-tier, but it's not like he's a total dud in D. He's okay there for now.

And I think all the Conjuror love is DT fanboyism for the most part. He is a very well-liked Skylander--probably second only to Spyro in Magic--and this seems to afford him a little more favoritism than he deserves. On both paths, honestly, but at least Channeler somewhat lives up to the love and deserves his spot. I mean, Conjuror gets scattered wins in A, but so do many of the B-tier guys, and that doesn't mean they should change position.

Keep Double Trouble and Jet Vacs Channeler and Bird Blaster paths where they already are. They are good where they are. I told my sister to choose the paths for both Skylanders and I put them against the other tiers. Results? Same. Both performed against each other Skylander tiers as good as their current tiers.

I have a question regarding Spyro. In the S:SA tier list, both Sheep Burner and Blitz are listed in Upper B (Average). That matched most of the path recommendations I've seen, with a pretty even split between people who prefer each path, and many stating that they're both pretty equal.

Now in this list, Blitz is in B (Good) and Sheep Burner is in D (Below Average). I see some of the same people who called them even in S:SA now saying that Blitz should be moved up relative to Sheep Burner.

What happened to make them go from being even to being separated by two tiers? Does the Giants engine favor Blitz over Sheep Burner moreso than the S:SA engine did? Is it that with the new tier rosters, Blitz's strengths just happen to line up better against the higher tiers than Sheep Burner's? Perhaps Blitz was always better and people are only just now realizing it? Or perhaps the opposite - i.e. they are still fairly even and were mistakenly separated in the new list?

I haven't gotten into Giants yet (waiting on my wife), so I'm genuinely puzzled right now. While it's been common for S1 characters to be shifted some as new characters are added, the pecking order has remained fairly consistent. The biggest jumps I've been aware of have been related to the improved melee engine in Giants. Without some similar change, it seems odd to see them suddenly jump so far apart.

Anyone? Anyone? Bueller?

Move Boomer up to D Tier(Clobber Troll). I have played with him a few times and he can stand up to several Skylanders. His Megaton Smash is great for close range attacks and the Stunning lets him get away from an opponent and then Boomer could use his Megaton Smash again for 100-150 damage. The first upgrade for this path does not really do a lot but the other upgrades did great for me. I tested him against a variety of Tiers and he beat most D Tiers, a few C Tiers and maybe 1-2 B Tiers. No A or S Tiers were beat by Clobber Troll. I just really enjoy using that path as I never use the Bombs really, and the Dynamite is just a bit repetitive( throw, run, throw, run etc.) And I just feel that he is not E Tier and is certainly D Tier at least, just my opinion on my experience with him. Please take this into account as I am really sure he is not E Tier material but really should be in D Tier.

@Teratron: Blitz Spyro is in B because his charge can hit the same target multiple times now, like Ghost Roaster's used to in the PS360 versions. Ibex's Wrath also seems to begin slightly faster than it did in S:SA. Those game engine tweaks, combined with the stunlocking he's always been capable of, are why he is in B now.

Conversely, Sheep Burner's stock has fallen because of an influx of new and hyper-powerful characters that have caused a "cascade effect" on the whole tier system. Very few S1 figures haven't seen their spots overtaken, and the same is true of S1 Sheep Burner.

Thank you! I was aware of the cascade effect, but I wasn't aware of the engine changes that improved Blitz Spyro. Makes a lot more sense now.

What she lacks is health and damage.

Even though she has a lot of armor, she has really low health (665 health) and can die pretty quick.

Her attacks are fairly weak and she racks up damage very slowly, her only powerful attack is the Laser Shot (but you have to charge it up, so it can be interrupted).

Keep her in B. She would be A if she had more health and damage.

well, i have beaten slam bam and hot head with her. i played keep away, running away and shooting crystals when i had the chance. she is broken in the right hands. just dont mess with the spinning dmg or the lasers. just use the spin to get away.

This is the key here though. I think both of Flashwing's paths are quite good, but it seems that the bulk of Flashwing's victories are attributed to player skill more than being absolutely one-button-wonder broken. Spinner relies on knowing when to pick your battles and escapes, while Shards is best played tactically and covering the arena in crystals. Her armor gives her room for error in skirmishes, but her health keeps you from wanting stand toe-to-toe longer than necessary.

Again, this is purely from my experience and from what I've gathered from players in past discussions. As they are, I really can't see either path moving above or below B. She's good, buy you won't be yawning through each fight a la Channeler DT.

I have beaten her with Smash N Bash Stump Smash, Tempest Dragon Whirlwind (yes because of elemental advantage, but not only that), and Joust Jockey Fright Rider.

Her low HP and low damage made it all too easy.

Nvm read back a couple pages, but now a new question, after switching and upgrading down Prismancer, I can't decide what to use for PvP, I mean, 81 damage pulse and 27 damage beam is tempting

Also, Prismancer seems to be a vaporizer ingame

My 5-year sister was able to beat a good portion of Drill-X's big rig with just eruptor in eruption path, and a first-time player (admittedly an expert gamer, but still) of Sklanders at my house was also able to last like 10 rounds in PvP with the same eruptor. That has to count for something.

Also, i've found that with Drobot (in SSA anyway, unsure with giants), that is the Ps3 version, while in hover mode, he will auto-target enemies and other players in PvP, liek a turret, whereas in the Wii version, he does not, making him less powerful. I think this maybe should be noted?

Gillgrunt987 poses an interesting point: Is Boomer / Clobber Troll in the right position at the moment? Has 'Giants made any changes to him that afford him a re-evaluation?

@Doomslicer: 'Giants does not have any mechanical differences between the versions like the ones that the Wii version of SSA had. In 'Giants, Drobot's auto-targetting is pretty naff all round on all versions.

In regards to Boomer/Clobber Troll, he doesn't totally quite deserve a move up. While he is not the worst crayon in the bad tier box, he is simply a sitting duck at range.....especially with no speed move. In my testings he beat: Wham shell commander crab, and Trigger happy golden frenzy, but lost to Stump smash smash n bash, magmantor eruptor, and wind master Warnado. Of the D tier he lost to Both Lightning rods, Marksman Flameslinger, Sheep burner Spyro, and S2 battledozer Drill sergant. This is of course, so far. I would not say D tier for him, but definitely not the biggest loser in E tier,,not close.

FIRST [OST ON HOT DOG PLACEMENT!

But anyways, Firewall Path (Pyro Pooch?) deserves B. Each time you press Attack 2 then A you get a whopping:
128 Damage! You press X(360) then A, your dogs shoot 7 fireballs each 13 damage (91) + Firewall (37)=128!

It would be A, but dat Armor! AND HP! (6 FREAKIN ARMOR WITHOUT HEROICS!)

So, my vote: Firewall Path/Hot Dog is B.

Marauder Voodood should drop to B or even C. The axe is clunky, the damage is fairly average, and the zip line is far slower now. Loses epically to S-Elf in an out damaging war, destroyed by Drobot, gets killed by Eruptor, Tree Rex will outlast and do somewhere around the same damage, idk about S2 PB, loses to Slam Bam, either Hot Head will annihilate you if you get too close, Zook will set up a cactus wall and kill you with mortars and bazookas, Hex may win because of the same reason Zook wins, but Voodood has an elemental advantage

And for once i'm actually around to stick my foot in here and say Stop Arguing.

Of course, now that Hot Dog and Series 2 Zap are starting to become available, we can start researching them and thinking about where they should go. Remember we need performance results and comparisons with characters in each tier, not just damage numbers.

Reshiramflame could have a point: Does anyone else think Voodood / Marauder needs re-evaulating? Are we sure that he competes adequately in the A Tier that he is currently in?
