It's amazing how some people will try and scalp the heck out of these things. I mean, I get putting a few extra bucks on something that is rare. 15 bucks for a wham shell, I don't like it but I'm okay with it. Like the one guy who is trying to sell a chill that her sword is leaning different for 5000.00. I mean I would pay 20 bucks for it just to say it is different. Not going to pay 50 let alone 5k for it.

lol i dont call any of these rare collectors items. I call that stealth elf in the first post broken! I saw a gill grunt on ebay that was broken but in package so some one was calling it a collectible swimming gill grunt because he fell off his base. Id buy a figure in the wrong package at regular price if i saw one. But not something thats painted slightly different or broken. People just wish they had an actual rare variant to sell. Thats all this is. I also saw someone asking 2,000 for a chill that had a paint speck on her cheak.

One of my stealth elfs is just like that...I read that it is like that in almost every three pack...:/

If it was around 30 dollars for that hot head I would get it in a heart beat. I am not sure how the giants are packed in the box, I wonder if it was found like this or if someone found that and didn't know it was rare and for some reason cut the top off.

None of you guys appear to be collectors, the listing clearly states "GREAT IF YOU NEED A REPLACEMENT BOX OR HAVE BOUGHT IT USED WITHOUT ONE" also the pictures clearly show nothing is included. I have bought empty boxes for older games before to make a complete copy.

Yeah, sad thing is that people will jump on most of those. Or they have jumped on some. This is where people who do that really get under my skin. They are just taking advantage of uninformed people.

I was at a Wal-Mart yesterday and I think they had either three or all four of the battlepacks. They had Terrafin, Slam Bam, and Sunburn. I am not sure if they had Ghost Roaster or not. Auctions of these are going in the 40 dollar range on Ebay. Bad thing is he sold some of those for 65 bucks.

If they'll buy it for that....even on amazon it can get ridiculous....remember all the $100+ cynders they tried to sell when she first came out?

I don't go to amazon a lot. As, I find things on amazon usually more expensive then I can find them on Ebay. Was that for the S1 Cynder? Or one of the S2 Cynder?

It was s1 Cynder. It drove me NUTS trying to get Cynder.....too many scalpers got em early and I had to play catchup to try to find her! Of course, it wasn't as bad as with Wham-Shell....

I had a hard time finding her as well. I was with my wife at my local wal-mart and saw a single pack of her, and I snagged it from the shelf and she laughed at me. Up until now, she was the second rarest one for me to see out in the "wild." Of course the most rare was Whammy.

Yeah....it was only after checking for weeks that I got 3 singles (one for my bf's nephew for his b-day later, 1 for my bf, and 1 for me), and then later, just trying to get zook and lightning rod, I got the 3 pack. My bf ended up giving him cynder from a 3 pack and I still have that unopened Cynder and a loose Cynder. Figures when you DON'T need it, it's easy to get...I also have an extra unopened L.Trigger Happy from the starter promo they had this time.

I used to work until 11 PM my time and that was actually the best time to go "hunting." The Wal-Marts where I picked up the majority of my figures would just have got done putting their truck away. So, I would stop in and check. I was able to get Lightning Rod and Ignitor that way in single packs.


I have all three of these, I paid 140.00 dollars for them all, I found the Warnado three pack in store. Other two I paid 60 a piece for.

You know, it's surprising nobody's tried to photoshop that scorpion striker pack to look like it has molten hot dog in it. Myabe we'll see that sort of scam nex week.

I hope not. I like to keep people aware of scams from ebay on here. I mean buy at your own risk, but if I think something looks odd or is not right, I will point it out.


As far as Wal-Mart, I'm not a big fan either. However, the two TRU's that I have around me sucked for stock last year. One of them that I went to today has no Giants. No Bouncers, No Swarm, No Crushers nothing. So wal-mart has generally been a better place for me to find stuff. Now, this year it has actually been more of the TRU in the "ghetto" part of Des Moines. They have keep a pretty decent stock of stuff.

A lady (customer) at Toys R Us called out "ha, stupid!" & scooped up a 3 pack when I put it back on the shelf along with the other skylanders. I put it back because the paper Skylanders insert at the top of the toy had fallen down into the middle of the box. She was obviously convinced it was also a rare variant. :I
