Taking "Ownership" of a figure only adds it to the collection of the current save file, as well as unlocking the appropriate Heroic challenge (Green-based ones and orange S2 ones unlock them in SSA, and all Orange ones unlock them in Giants)

Actually...are you still an owner on S:SA if you transfer it to Giants?

I don't think your old save is still listed as an "owner", but the character still works perfectly fine on the game that it was "disowned" from.

Okay, when you take ownership of a character two things happen: the game responds by unlocking material (HC's, collection data), and the figure is attached to the specific data of the save file in question. When you take a figure that has been owned by S:SA and own it by a Giants file there is no change to the actual save file in S:SA, the only change made is to the figure. If you go back to S:SA the figure will already be registered but that specific figure will no longer be registered to that save file. The only thing that seems to be directly connected to the actual ownership of the figure is elemental bonuses. In this case I recommend just keeping the figure itself associated with a save file with a lot of other characters of the same element to ensure a higher elemental bonus.

In Spyro's Adventure you needed to own the figure to have 100 Elemental Bonus plus the other 3 of that element.

SO I "transferred" ownership to my Giants file because I'm pretty much done with S:SA anyways but I didn't get the heroic challenges. |

This is what i recommend
1. if you're completely done with SSA, change EVERYTHING to your SG save. 2. if you're an active player of SSA save the newlanders (and some favorites) to SG, while keeping the majority or oldlanders in SSA. just keep switching if it doesnt work for you!

Not sure why it matters. You can't remove them from your collection so its not like it's going to matter. If you return to SSA and reclaim ownership for a character, its not going to improve the character or the game, unless you have a series 2 figure that did not enter the collect as a series 1. |

Right, i forgot about that. for a second i thought that actually "owning" them gave you an elemental boost.

It does. But once you got the boost, you don't lose it, even if the ownership of your characters switches to a different save file. |

I don't the game would because after you unlocks something it doesn't go away.

the game (or actually save file) would not although the figure itself would. Fortunately this is not going to affect actual play |
