I, Eon have submitted an application!

I find it naive to think that Aura24 or Samius is going to be a "Hunter" straight away, it's only because they have seemed to make less mistakes than others, and appear to be a lot more mature than others that they get the spotlight from the majority of users on this site. I'm quite open-minded, I think there's a few others that may have just the same amount of chance as Aura24 and Samius has. I'm not going to name anyone.

But that's the way the site works, it's a pecking-order Yes, I know. And even that seems like a naive way of looking at it too, lol.

I don't mean nothing bad against any user by stating this, I just wanted to get out there what I'm thinking, and this is what I thought at the time. But you can have a "go" at me if you like, it would be amusing.

I am only saying, don't think someone has it in the bag. Dark may want someone more than just having a lot of gems.

Gems are a poor measure of people's time on the site. Some people do take leaves of absence... >.>

^That's is true. I sometimes can't visit this site for quite a while, so I also don't think that gems is the answer.There are more things to consider. Dark is gonna have quite an amount of work choosing, so let's leave him be for the time being.

Yeah, I bet part of the reason he didn't want to do that is because he knew at this point in the site there'd be a flood of applications. XD

And there are plenty of users you know. I wonder if he has enough time to finish all...

I'm just imagining all the applications.. Crazy amount, dark.

...Yeah, and it must be even more annoying for him to find out that the majority of these applications could be useless; as some have just done it for fun.

Well I think you're maturing pretty rapidly. If you looked at some of your earliest posts compared to now, it's a pretty big difference. ^.^b

Applications end on 4th, but that doesn't mean dark is able to read them all on one day and make the decision then, he might need some more time for that

You may have a point there. That just add to the difficulty of choosing.

Perhaps he should've added 'the applications are not made for fun.'

You get some who just want to be silly, and do silly things, because they know they're on the internet and all that can happen to them, is get banned. If that's the case, people simply create alternate emails and re-register. At least that's what happens on Gamefaqs.com.

It is needless - if that indeed happens - because I'm sure the process is aldready daunting.

Hmm.. I really want to give a shot at the applications, but this past year I've been less and less active on the forums.. Oh well. Maybe I'll take a look at applying myself when they're next open. (If they're open again, that is.)

I personally think that a red Sparx has as much chance to be a moderator as Aura, but that is just what I think.

Gem count is only an indicator of your total activity on this site in the past, which is only one small factor in determining the mod position. You could've been active on this site for a few years and still come off as a completely inept user.

Yep. At best they show that you're (hopefully) more familiar with the site.

He said that he will pm users about the second stage the 4th. Not reveal mods.

It seemed to me dark indicated that he would start reviewing and sorting entries on the 4th and then contact through PM's. Judging by the offers of interest in the position dark will likely have a stack of applications to go through and the amount of meticulous care and love he puts into this site may indicate that he would like to ponder candidates before just randomly selecting some.

This could take a while at this point all we can do is wait and try not to rush dark as it is all in our best interests he picks the right people for the job.
