I went some variant hunting today. I went to a couple TRU's and the one I usually go too had a few wave 1 giants, some sprocket triple packs and some bouncers. Nothing else. The other TRU I went to had No Giants (Bouncer, Crusher, ETC) just some three packs and a few drill sargents.

I am starting to think that we may be in short supply here for awhile.

My Walmart has NO Skylanders, all except a Sprocket Overload, and the employee that had been restocking said that a "Miscolor that was silver like, type of sprocket, was put on the shelf, and bought immediately" So Silver Sprocket was at my store :/

Mines too! I was at a TRU the other day, and the employee told me someone bought the glitter sprocket immediately

My wal-mart has a bouncer, sprocket, and a GITD Sonic Boom overload. Nothing new in since like two weeks before Christmas.

I thought about that. The only figure we know for sure is coming out on the ninth is Hot Dog and Zap. We have our hunches that more will be out, but not concrete proof. Anyways, I think it would be a bad idea to let the shelves run down. People who are not hardcore into this game like people on here are going to think it is going to be the same thing as last year.

Nothing at my Walmart except for a few Glow Booms, NO GIANTS other than Swarm, a few random S2s, and employees too lazy to check for shippments.

Also, they're lacking with other merch, only getting two shippments of Mega Bloks.

My Walmart sucks, all it has are tons GITD Sonic Booms and Red Drill Seargent!

Since Holidays are over I'm assuming stores will be stocking this weekend or next.. It sucks waiting but I guess we have no choice

I was actually very happy to see that my TRU has 6 Hot Heads (no glitters), 2 Fright Rider and 1 Pop Fizz. I couldn't even find 1 Hot Head or Fright Rider anywhere else. Except that I saw 1 Pop Fizz at a Gamestop.

Been desperately hunting around for S2 Bash. Of what I checked recently:

Local TRU has an overabundance of SSA figures and a maybe a handful of new figures. I managed to find a lone S2 Stealth Elf though
Local Walmarts have either been entirely sold out or had 8-10 total figures. 2 of the ones i visited were mostly filled with GITD Sonic Boom.
Local Targets have the most new character stock from what I've seen.
Local Best Buys have a lot of Wave 1 stuff in, same with local K-Marts and Gamestop.

In case anyone is looking for SSA Adventure Packs, try your local Sams Club. Mine had all of them in for $17.96

Yeah, I went around looking at Skylanders yesterday. I went to quite a few stores. Sadly, I may have spoken too soon, as the stores look just as bare as last year.

It looks like they couldn't keep up with demand afterall. I think they will do this with the third game as well. My toys r is has a lot of wave 1 figures and a descent amount of wave 2 figures. They have an overload of sprocket single packs!

Mt TRU is FILLED with skylanders. I'm going tomorrow and that's when they get shipment. But Target had an ok amount, but huge sprocket overload.

^ I've had the same experience Rand... i've seen full shelves down here in Indy lately, even a few Hot Heads on the Giants' pegs!! I've been mostly to TRU and Target lately, but haven't been to Walmart much!!

Yeah, I'd say this dip in stock is expected and temporary. Last year was worse because they didn't have any ready for the unexpected rush. They probably thought Skylanders wasn't going to take off, so they had to shift into full production again (and that takes time). This year they probably never stopped.

One thing to remember is that with the first game, it was still an unknown. Had they made enough figures to satisfy the demand, they could have been stuck with a load of shelf warmers had it not taken off, and prior to Christmas it wasn't assured. Think the UDraw, or for the older crowd ET on the Atari. Over-estimating demand is very, very costly. In the case of the UDraw it almost single handed brought down THQ.

I went to a TRU, Walmart and Target today. TRU had no Giants at all and no LC Prism Breaks (which was odd as they usually have about 50 of them), but they had Wave 3 S2 Cynder, Eruptor, SE. Target had all of the Giants including Hot Head but no Granite Crusher. Walmart had all 4 adventure packs from SSA.

I wanted to ask the guy I usually talk to at TRU if they were having issues getting new stuff in, he was not working today and the only other guy that was working was the one who told me Wave 3 had came out at the beginning of November.

I just hope that by this time next week the shelves are starting to get back full again.

Yesterday, at TRU, after I found series 2 PB, just for fun I asked a employee if they got wave 3. They replied that wave 3 comes out in 2 weeks. What the heck!

Went back today, Saw some S1 Skylanders, Picked up S1 Flameslinger c:

The TRU in Times Square had a healthy stock of figures. They were running low on legendaries and I saw no Giants except for Bouncer. A whole wall of Bouncer and a bin filled with legendary Bouncer.

I went out to wal-mart today in the town I live in and I figured out why they have not been getting any new figures in. They still have the original display that came out when they released giants up. That was until I went today. They are taking that down. Between all of the GITD Sonic booms they had and the Swarm and Bouncers, they have no room to put anything else up. Which I don't see these moving anytime soon so I will be SOL (No, I am not a sweet old lady) until they run thru that stock.

The TRU I went to only has a lot of wave 1 & 2. They had to S2 cynders and one S2 Stealh Elf.

Toys r us in Louisville KY is packed with skylanders.
